the thing that gets me is that this is all stuff for apple's inbuilt apps. it's not reall 'pro' software. Sure aperture / logic / final cut are really tightly integrated, but stuff like Pro Tools, Photoshop or Premier will probably never support this outside of like, an undo button

I actually think this touch bar would be better suited on the regular MacBook, which is ostensibly marketed to more "casual" users who would be less likely to miss the function keys/shortcuts. Seems like the

I keep forgetting that even though I technically am a millennial by the standards most people use, even though I grew up with cassettes and no cell phones. This is exactly who this machine is for. Kids who are 10 years younger than me who grew up with an iPhone in their hands. It's loving dumb. Did he just say devs are going to love touchbar? loving LOL.

We might like keyboard shortcuts, but I think it's fair to say that most people have no idea why it's cmd-shift-3 on a Mac. Print Screen makes some sense on Windows but it's also a legacy key that's not entirely self evident either. Any keyboard shortcut that's cmd-option-[anything] is probably a good candidate to be in this bar.
