Star Trek TMP is a solid 40 minute episode of the original series stretched out to movie length with nothing to fill the space except really slow effect shots that drag on forever.

Into Darkness is the worst Trek movie, like the Browns
Nemesis is the worst film overall, like the 2008 Lions

Actually lets see

Wrath of Khan - great movie that everyone keeps trying to copy with no success - The Patriots
Search for Spock - flawed but solid film with a big self explosion at the end - The Vikings?
Voyage Home - Fun whale movie that's just enjoyable to watch - Panthers, at least the 2015 version
Final Frontier - a good idea that fails in spectacular fashion - Chip Kelly Eagles
Undiscovered Country - Two big forces meet and make a great end - Peyton joining the Broncos
Generations - Garbage - Jaguars
First Contact - pretty good even though everyone is starting to look old - Cardinals
Insurrection - a meh TNG episode as a movie instead - ?

Star Trek 09 - Fun action reboot - Falcons?
Beyond - better than expected! - 2016 Cowboys

You're pretending Nemesis doesn't exist, just as we all should.

It's the Titans, isn't it. Because we did it remember it.

I do not wear this mask to protect me. I wear it to protect you from me.

It's going to be hard at some point to explain how much the original series was a part of common culture. You could see ten seconds, know what the episode was about have a good guess about what the next line was and not really be a big fan. There's some drek but even bad original series Trek is unforgettable.

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, MAD-2R World
TMP has some things going for it even though it is slow and flawed as hell and the new characters are lovely:

-Late 70s effects porn to the nth degree, just :catdrugs: as gently caress at times
-Really good music
-Spock is different in this movie, most alien I guess, it's interesting
-Sulu was really working out in the late 70s apparently
-It gets across that space is big and weird and scary better than any of the other Trek movies

And the cops all shake and quiver and quake
as she stabs them with her cuffs
Fat Riker playing the chef on the Enterprise and later you find out he was going to the holodeck in between commercial breaks of the TNG episode The Pegasus so he could get moral advice from characters 200 years ago and Trip dies a more pointless death then Data in Nemesis.

We should citizen arrest Rick Berman and Brannon Braga.

Also watch ENT with any episode having Jeffrey Combs as Shran.

Insurrection: a bait and switch because they dusted off a low effort version of something and repackaged it in something shiny and new and we all didn't want to admit it was a soulless cash grab. And it pales in comparison to the 1980s and 1990s offerings? When we were promised something good and respectable and worthwhile just a few years before (First Contact)? And it all takes place in some pointless soulless area nobody cares about?
