Magnus Condomus posted:The one caveat is that if you buffer it in the air you cannot change which direction it will slide. It will go in the direction of your initial momentum rather than where you are aiming/looking. The important thing about slide hopping is DO NOT HOLD FORWARD. You will lose speed if you do. It's just like TF1 Bhopal but the timing is much more forgiving. Also there is proper eject strafing in this game. you have to start doing it while you're pulling the eject handle. Stim helps a ton too.

I wonder how much of that is the turret genuinely being weak, or its targets just having a way greater capacity to survive the first shots and return fire. It's not supposed to kill Titans all on its lonesome, but apart from other Titans themselves nothing is.

This game would be everything if they had co-OP multiplayer with like destiny style strikes and raids in the same vein as the campaign storyline.

I would bet money on Frontier Defense returning at some point, especially now that they have all the new AI bots like Reapers and Stalkers.

One was parked in a room in one of the indoor heavy maps positioned in a way it was difficult to get a clear shot at without being killed.

Haven't touched the multiplayer yet but the campaign is so much fun. I'm loving the movement and how everything feels. Shooting guns feels so good in this game, like I don't know but they pack a mean punch.

The part of the campaign with time travel made me think of this game: http://youtube.com/watch?v=bO5xcPR2ikk Northstar is my spirit titan. I suck at sniping, but the crack from the railgun shot fills me with joy even if I miss, and flight core is gimmicky but

I had a realization around why legion and tone feel so powerful, it's because they are the only titans who can use their defensive ability while attacking / using their core. I think the strydr class titans need a huge damage reduction while coreing, and ion and scorch just need large damage buffs, because their cores seemingly don't do crazy amounts of damage.

There are a bunch of goon squad networks on xbone which is the right one? Having a great time with then game though thats not too surprising. Huge fan of giant robots, cute A.I.s and the first game.

For salvo core do I need to acquire locks first or can I just spam it in the direction of some titans and it'll do it's thing?

Once those rockets start leaving your cannon, they go wherever you're pointing your reticle. I like to shoot mine straight up in the air and then look at my target. Death from above. They really need some emotes in this game.

Is it just me, or is the music in this game REALLY good? The music that plays during the opening cinematic gives me goosebumps every time. And during the final mission, when you leap onto the airship to take out the three guns, the music ratchets up and makes you feel like an absolute monster while mowing grunts down. Also can anyone make a gif of the part where you give BT a thumbs up, he looks at your hand for a moment, and then awkwardly returns the thumbs up? That was pretty much the moment where BT became my Robro for life.

How do I make the grappling hook work well? I'm convinced that it's good, and it's just me that's bad at using it. The first game I enjoyed quite a bit, and I'm really digging the sequel. It's a bummer that they had to limit Titan Loadouts but I understand why it had to be done. I miss shooting titan cores a great deal as well.

Yes the campaign teaches you all the parkour techniques and let's you try out all the Titans. It's also just really fun in general and not very long so you should play it anyway.

It lets you sample all the different titan loadouts but that's pretty much it. The campaign is actually cool and good though so you should play it regardless and not worry about how you could be dropping titans in mp instead.

Speaking of the campaign, it'd be cool if they made a Titan that used the Brute's rocket launcher or the Burst core. Feels weird to not have them represented in multiplayer. I mean obviously the homing rockets are too strong for multiplayer but their primary weapons and cores aren't overpowered really.
