Would it be possible to enable XMPP or IRC on the Slack channel? Some googling indicates it's possible to connect with a third party client.
https://get.slack.help/hc/en-us/articles/201727913-Connect-to-Slack-over-IRC-and-XMPP

I realize that I'll have less functionality, but I don't really need to set reminders for a ham channel. If not, it's no big deal. I'm only asking because I don't typically leave a browser window open very long. I'm not the 1,000+ tabs type. :shobon:

Forget it, they have a desktop app. For some reason I searched for how to access Slack through a third party client before I thought to check to see if they had one of their own.

I'm still working on the layout a bit and don't have the Blood in the Void stuff yet (modular inside of modular inside of modular rules woop woop), but this hopefully makes it much easier to figure out ZM and it's presented on a nice format you can check on your phone.

If you end up using it, I'd appreciate feedback on improving the information layout.

Well it recently got turned from "big knight" to "that's a warhound titan", and when it comes to really big kits production is super slow and tricky.

Yeah, new red book lists:

"Macharius and variants (representing indigenous war machines)" in the list of things you can fudge in. They lose all 40k related upgrades and are able to take space marine crew.

EDIT: :downs: It only lists Macharius, not Malcador. Sorry

It's very to the point and clear which is fantastic. The Diagrams are really nice too but I would say that the final product needs some ZM miniature pornography :bigtran:

Technically you could do a bare bones Solar Auxillia primary detachment and then cram as many salamanders in the allied force as you could.

I think I'm going to grab a custodes tank at the open day and a squad off eBay for a small allied detachment. I just want an excuse to paint an entire figure with vallejo metal colors.

I have a friendly match coming up at work over the Xmas break with a couple of hams in the office and although it's a 40k game I thought this would be a good incentive to get my 30k Death Guard stuff started.

It's a 2v2, CSM and my DG against IG and Black Templars. There is a good chance that the BT player will bring a Knight so that's an issue to deal with.

I have 2 BaC boxes to work with along with a 40k LR and two Rhinos, and the following soviet/communist resin stuff:

10x Extra flamers
Deredeo w/ Autocannons/Missile Launcher
3 x Laser Destroyer (or Graviton?) Rapiers
5 x Grave Wardens
5 x Deathshroud Termies
2 x Apothecaries
Typhon
Mortarion

I only have 750pts to pay with at the moment, but this will obviously be a core for a full heresy force. Any hints on what kind of list I can do at 750?

Ooo good catch. I propose this: Solar Aux primary with bare bone troops. 3 infernuses with a few tank commanders for outflank. Ally in Salamanders who sit in the backfield and cackle with childlike glee.

Maybe they'll put out another plastic horus heresy box that's Auxilla vs Alpha Legion or something like that. That's your only hope.

Following up on this, how big a dick move is Typhon at 750pts? The guys I'm playing against are pretty much "anything goes" thus the Imperial Knight at the same points level.

I was thinking along these lines:

+ HQ (200pts) +

Calas Typhon (200pts)
····Legiones Astartes [Legion Specific Rules]
····Master of the Legion [The Reaping]

+ Troops (230pts) +

Legion Veteran Tactical Squad (115pts) [Chem-munitions, Heavy Flamer, 4x Legion Veteran Space Marines, Marksmen]

This army is Not Dickish at all, especially because the unit sizes are small and everything foot slogs- Typhon won't really be doing much if he has to hoof it to get anywhere and those vet squads are extremely ripe targets for anti-infantry stuff. I'd really consider shuffling things around to get rhinos or pods or something.
