Absolutely. However there is a real danger of the premiums increasing to levels where ordinary families will not be able to afford them. This happens particularly with freelancers and very small businesses, where the person in question earns too much for subsidies, but does not get any work health insurance.

We’re way past that in this election. I think it’s a disgrace to have Clinton as our first woman president. She does not represent women at all — or me, as a woman, at all. I’m sorry. Her husband is such scum. I’ve never heard about Trump cheating. I know he’s had multiple marriages — which, in today’s society, who doesn’t?

In Mass Effect humans live much longer so technically Shepard is too young to be middle aged.

The amount of punditry cred they could've yielded alone by dumping Trump would've been astronomic, and the base might sulk for this election but they'd be right back in by 2018.

I remember a more in depth article by someone in the administration, but this is all I could find right this second that debunks the fact that many people will see increases. Subsidies will rise, and prices are where they were expected to be anyway because insurance companies under priced stuff initially : http://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2016/10/24/499190020/rates-rise-again-for-obamacare-health-plans-but-so-do-subsidies

Also remembered reading that the biggest increases were in states with the lowest current premiums. Am I missing anything big or is all that relatively true? Like you say, some people will have prices go up somewhat, but most will be relatively unaffected?

The unfortunate thing is that neither of those really made a dent. Like you said, they would sink any other campaign.

So far the only thing that has really hurt Trump was the Access Hollywood tape, and then his poor debate performances on the heels of that. Unless Eichenwald has something of that type, I don't know that I expect it to affect Trump's numbers significantly.

There's probably an interesting essay to be written on how those series, over the course of their decade-long lifespan, have slowly switched their focus towards how over the hill and too old for this poo poo the protagonists are, paralleling their audience's aging.

Like I said, though, that one isn't unique to the conservative side of things. People have come to such a level of distrust and cynicism that they construct conspiracies around even the most harmless of ballot initiatives, always doubting the "Yes" side as someone out for their own specific interests. I've noticed that a lot of people are less interested in discussing the potential merits or downfalls of Ballot questions than they are in discussing who it is who wants to propose them. Like, there's a legitimate point for discussion on an animal welfare one in MA about how it might raise prices on food staples and disproportionately affect the poor (I still come down in favor of it), but the conversation has instead been about "Who is the group that proposed this initiative?"

Well to be fair, to really understand anything is to understand the motivation for that thing so it's pretty useful to understand who proposed it.
