I guess one of the reasons to unlock things with credits is that it'll stay unlocked as you go through the regeneration system. I kind of want to buy the smart pistol boost...

I've been using a lot of auto-Scorch today in preparation for the inevitable Tone nerf, and holy poo poo is he really good. Multiple times he got double and triple kills locking down banks and hardpoints. I think I'll end up using him exclusively on amped hardpoint from now on.

Played a lot today, Scorch is my favorite Titan but I just unlocked Tone and that one seems too powerful to not use on the reg. The movement system is nice but I hate how getting trapped in a ledge-climb animation just kills your momentum and also just kills you if it happens in a fight.

That said it is an incredible get-out-of-jail-free card if you use it defensively. Getting shot at? Phase out and round a corner. Titan you're rodeoing popped electric smoke? Phase out and instantly get away. But the real reason everybody should use it is that it's the best player model in the game. Does a robot really need a scarf? No, but they look baller as hell when they do:

how the gently caress do you rodeo a titan without grapple anyways, i've had the jump on enemy titans from a ledge from behind while they were alone and standing basically still, and i always end up getting crushed under their feet is there a button prompt i'm missing? you can hit like four different buttons to get into your own titan

Also I can't play Tone at all. Like I'm terrible at aiming her cannon so I never get pilot kills. I do have to say that I like being able to actually use abilities though, unlike Legion. I mean don't get me wrong, Legion is ridiculously powerful and I usually can take out three or four titans before I'm doomed since Legion is better at long ranges than Northstar. And against pilots I have to say that Legions probably the best against them outside of Ronin up close. But goddamn are the abilities boring. It's balanced I suppose# but you are really just shooting folks and not much else.

Got a quick question for ya'll: is this worth to get? Just saw an article about the sales figures being so underwhelming they may shelve the franchise... will the MP be dead in like a month too? Don't want to spend $$$ on a primarily MP game with no future.

Some game modes probably won't last super long, but you ought to always be able to find matches and it's goddamn spectacular. Also if you're on a console you have nothing to worry about.

There will be enough players to get games in all modes (and easily get games in Attrition) for at least 2 years. There are thousands of players on right now on the PC, and tens of thousands on the consoles. Edit: also there's every indication that this game is going to have a hell of a long tail.

Man I don't know why you guys hate the MGL, I've been having a blast with it. My personal favorite is that it practically autoaims your shots, if you take extra ammo and quick reload it's actually a decent way to pick away at titans that aren't paying attention.

The Mozambique is fun. Had some great runs tonight with it and the SMR. 7 shots with extended mags provides for some good spamming at close ranges, and you can nail groups of grunts with one or two shots.

Regenning your pilot starts you over at level one, re-locking everything except what you've purchased with bitcoins. Your guns/titans stay the same level, you never lose anything you've unlocked on them. You keep all your pilot camos except for the ones for being level 20/30/etc.

was crushing another team on amped hardpoints, then my connection hosed up randomly. next hardpoint game I lost because ALL my teammates were in loving titans as the enemy team suddenly took all 3 loving points and we lost by like 10. motherfucker.
