Yup wingman ain't what it used to be. The hipfire spread is garbage but crouching aka sliding tightens it up a lot - slide for close range and ironsight for longer ranges, amp it for one shot kills and it's pretty dang serviceable. I started to say it boils down to bein dumb cause why would you take a pistol when you could do CAR or whatever plus a real anti titan weapon and be better off. Messed around and I'm not 100% sold on the idea though. Lookin at the weapon spreadsheet and trying it out in a private match, the DPS between grenadier and anti-titan weapons is comparable. MGL does more damage but Softball has more range. SMR does more damage but Archer is safer. Thunderbolt does more damage (I think?) but EPG can spam more. Also there's the deal of the primaries having unlimited ammo and generally being better against pilots. So I dunno, maybe it is fine to mix it up like that and supplement with amped weapons for wingman 1 shots or a smart pistol. Overall it's still like TF1 that some loadouts just seem flat out better at handling a bunch of stuff but with the ability, grenade, etc. options you can make things work. Never touch the ground and don't stay in one place to shoot for too long or you will get flanked. The starting guns are pretty good, lots of people still use the R201, and the game is way more fun if you play with friends. Also the single player really does prepare you for the movement style and titan combat.

The Volt is so stupidly good I'm not going to have the motivation to play with anything else for a while. it really has no downsides that I have found yet.

I swore by the volt until I unlocked the R-97, the instant bullet travel time and hilarious rate of fire make it great for running and gunning. When you sweep it over a target you're guaranteed a hit or two where the slower rof guns might miss completely, so while on average it should be the same in reality it feels a lot more reliable. It loses some of the super long range hip fire accuracy, but that isn't really the reason I run with SMGs.

Chaining slides and wallruns will help you increase your speed (you actually accelerate while wallrunning). Play the campaign because it's great. The starting assault rifle is totally fine, but you might have better success with SMGs (the Alternator is my fave, although they're all pretty decent). Tone is probably the strongest Titan at the moment, but you can do well with any of them. Unlike a lot of other shooters, you want to be gunning from the hip 90% of the time - you really don't lose much accuracy, and slowing down to aim down the sights usually will just get you killed. Oh, and if you're on PC, Bounty Hunt and Attrition are the only two modes you're going to have much luck finding games for.

So, like... if I'm running around with a Grenadier weapon that isn't the SMR which I can use like it's an assault rifle, is there any reason not to run around with the Mozambique as secondary? I tried to jump the gun and pick up the level 45 Grenadier weapon that shoots four grenades at once but using it feels impossible.

I'm giving the R-97 and Volt a second chance after the gushing even though i didn't like them initially and also my Devotion is already G3.4 which is kinda embarrassing. Anyone know what counts as kills for the Pro Screen? There's a discrepancy between the Pro Screen and camo unlock bar

YMMV, but I was having an abysmal time coming from a long run of Overwatch, until I swapped my tactical to cloak. It's like night and day. So if you start out and you just die a ton, try being a cloaking rear end in a top hat, it's great. Something to note is that when cloaked, your usual mobility options will decloak you for a split second, so it's actually better to stick to the ground and slides when you're invis. Also it's got a much longer duration than in SP, and you auto recloak after firing, which is why I prefer to rock the auto-shottie when I'm doing it. Bang bang done, fade into the night.

Been using Scorch today, he's pretty fun! Tone can still loving do one though. Can't decide what perk to use though. I picked overcore for ultra fast flame cores but I don't know if I'll stick with it.

Current fun loadout is amped wall with dmr and charge laser with charge hack, you get it back roughly every 30 seconds or so and vastly improves both of the weapons. DMR goes to one-hit from two and both can be used on Titan crit spots for huge damage.

Maybe it wasn't a good idea to give the long range accuracy weapon a poo poo ton of splash... Also it feels impossible to counter a such a slow firing weapon with any of the vortex shields.
