In counties in Ohio that Obama carried by 20, Trump cut HRC's margin to 2. We abandoned white rural democrats in the rustbelt and they abandoned us, basically. Or they just didn't turn out. Serious question: Why would Bernie have won when he couldn't beat Hillary? Are you assuming everyone who voted third party would have voted for him, while also keeping every vote that went towards Hillary in the GE? The Orange Idiot won because we just had a groundswell of white supremacy not seen in decades brought on by a party having eight years to stir their base in a soup of fear and rage over their black President.
