Helpfully, the House has already voted like 400 times to repeal it, and the Senate is on board too. It comes down to if anyone wants to get a replacement in, then a Trump administration is going to have to put together a pretty complex piece of legislation. The only problem is that means on day 1 Trump removes like 20 million people's health care. The hope is that there are at least a few Rep Senators who are going to look at that and go nooooope! That said, the proposed replacement is HSAs (woo! federally mandated bank use while keeping the burden on employees!) and likely no contraceptive coverage + no state borders so everything is going to be based out of Wyoming or whichever red State gets to the regulatory bottom first. And I really don't see Republican Senators having any issues with any of this. Maybe a year to wind down. Expect it gone by 2018, and then the filibuster will be broken and we get even more fun!!!

My mom tried to cheer me up by saying "at least your generation will come out and fix things" and it just made me think about how that won't be for a good 20 years and in the meantime we'll enjoy every single voter suppression technique imaginable get worked into the foundation of our country by all three branches of government.
