And while other policy nerds (like me) find it interesting, most folks absolutely do not. People do not like hearing complicated solutions to complicated problems. The way our political discourse is set up, there is no room for nuance. It's really unfortunate.

Welp, remember how I mentioned that I was could see a person on FB that was Trans for Trump? They and some of their friends just dogpiled a Trans POC, invalidating said person's Transness, and called them. a slur. Bet you can guess which one. The irony is that they started bashing this person cause they were saying that violence against bigots was self defense. So yeah, white privilege is a hell of a drug. And the irony is they don't even see how what they are doing is so blatantly lovely. We went from certain of victory to defeat in such a short time. My brain is broken even thinking about it at this point. I'm a father of one (yes, just one guys) and I've been having issues with my son trying to get acquainted with our culture. Seeing as we're of African descent, we thought it would be interesting to try out Kwanzaa for the year. There's no other black holiday for Christmas-time and Juneteenth isn't for another seven months. Anyways, I want to know where you guys get your dashikis from and how to properly do my hair for this upcoming event. I'll post pictures of my wife's son and family in a few weeks to prove we're alright. Thanks in advance for any help I get.
