Finally, Trump getting elected more or less puts any federal action on climate change on hold for 4-8 years. So the sky isn't falling, but it's going to be marginally warmer due to Trump's election.

I never had any reason to doubt that his presidency would be made of empty threats, but settling on Trump University made that even more clear. I still don't know how it will play out when he promises to fight some other foreign leader forever then then capitulates to them quietly a few weeks later.

I think Muslims and Hispanics are most at risk from a Donald Trump presidency. Hasn't the logic behind Trump having a Jewish (favorite) daughter/grand kids been that it makes him less likely to do anti Semitic stuff? I mean his son in law is one of his closest advisers and Israel seems to be taking him winning pretty well all things considered.

There's plenty of racists who will make exceptions for the minorities they're personally friends with while still being racist about the overall minority group as a whole. A guy who goes on about welfare queens and criminal tendencies doesn't get a pass on racism just because he has black friends, and the same principle applies here. As for Israel, they're fine with Trump because the Israeli media hasn't really covered his anti-Semitic ties, and because there's not really that much he can do to hurt Israel without also helping Muslims or running afoul of Congress. Personally, I don't think Trump himself will push any directly anti-Jewish legislation or policies. But he'll almost certainly foster a culture of apathy toward anti-Semitism, while he and his closest aides publicly make anti-Semitic statements that inspire anti-Semites to action.
