Fulchrum posted:Is there a website or app out there that, based on ip, shows every single upcoming election a person is eligible to participate in and all the relevant information on the people running? If there is, point people to it. If not, make it a goon project to build it. If you cannot find the info on relevant stuff, get someone to email them. At that level, you'll either get someone who will hand you volumes in volumes of his thoughts on everything he couldn't get out, or refuses to say anything, which also communicates volumes on volumes. There isn't as far as I can tell. But I am making it a personal project to have this for my town and maybe the surrounding towns and counties for the midterms as my personal contribution. And also to encourage people to run for seats that are unopposed, and to actually find dates for the local primaries and poo poo. That sort of "this is how much your vote matters" talk is something I hope will encourage people to turn out.

SHY NUDIST GRRL posted:If the dems really capitulate to the gop there's going to be crazy unrest. LOL Unrest won't even matter. The game is over and we lost. Voter suppression won't become a state issue, it will be federally mandated. Dems don't have the House, the Senate, the Presidency and they hold less than 50% of the state legislative seats. From a Dem standpoint, this election is the apocalypse. There's no "coming back" from where we will be after January 20.

GlyphGryph posted:Well you're certainly embodying the Democratic spirit with that "That would be hard so why not just give up now?" attitude. The Democratic party is as dead and gay as this comedy forum. There is no savior or hope. Obstructionism, lies, propaganda and nationalism carried the day. Democratic "movements" based in truth, rights, inclusion, and compassion will lose in 2018, 2020 and for the foreseeable future. Repubs have figured out the formula necessary to get the votes needed to keep the crony capitalism state fed.
