Hilary could give you this cold fact check on just about everything but Trump goes "I know how you feel, I know how to fix these problems, I've been a businessman all my life, we can fix our crumbling infrastructure. I can do it. I can bring jobs back." They don't want another politician who promises change but yields few results (regardless of the opposition and circumstances). So get someone who isn't in "the system". Democrats have got to stop appealing only to the rational voter. We don't live in a country made up of Vulcans.

What if SCOTUS affirms the ability of the government to force the NYT to suspend publishing as Trump's inevitable temper tantrum were they to publish something big would end with a nuclear missile hitting NYC. I'd say that's fairly grave if dubiously irreparable (assuming the radiation and fallout is contained well enough).

I'm not sure people like being wrapped up in lies. When you find out something you thought to be true wasn't, it puts into question everything else. If you know the truth, it reduces the chance of that happening. Truth can be comforting in its own way. It is reliable, and is not built on a deck of cards. People are hungry for stability, not for uncertainty. If Republican's can't give them that, it leaves them open to us. I don't see the Republican leadership as people who can make things work well, do you guys?
