Pansage/Simisage are fine. They are more than adequate enough to take through the full game in Black and White. - Seed Bomb - Crunch - Brick Break - Filler (Acrobatics, or Leech Seed, or Rock Slide, or Dig) They have great speed and decent attack/special attack. Plus, loving look at it. Looks just like Deku.

No joke, it was seeing the sketches of her in various action poses and stuff posted elsewhere that got me to look up this series and start reading it. I don't know how common that is but I've heard the same from other people too. I kept reading because the series is just really good, but Tsuyu's the one who got me to notice it in the first place.

It's impossible to say he designed her with the intent of her being a breakout star and the most popular character who isn't one of the main three or AM, but there's also little doubt that when he was designing all of his characters and showing them to editors, they knew she'd do really well.
