I don't know, that pic seems to be a pretty good summary of HRC colorblind slacktivism. Another example would be the cast of Hamilton v. Trump.

Didnt the word slacktivist gain momentum around the ice bucket challenge? That seems really dumb in retrospect. The whole word and it's usage, in a 'support things I like but only how I like them' sort of way.

The ice bucket challenge raised actual money, there should be a word to describe people who think they're fighting the good fight because they retweet the right hashtags

And the icebucket money was spent on research which lead to useful results.

You have to admit it is funny how the white postgraduate gender studies women crowd screamed their heads off for 16 months about the racist sexist bernie brocialists and then only 51% of white college educated women voted for Hillary

Yeah the notion that Abuela was owed a vote by all women is kinda sexist in of itself

Well I just assume the majority of college educated anyone went through the same mandatory corporate diversity training in the form of race relations 101 courses that were adopted by most Universities over the past 20 years, which is kind of the whole origin of 2016s exceptionally weird identitarian movements.

I can't wait for the "Restoring Faith In Our Leadership" Act which places a "temporary restriction" on any form of media that criticizes the President, his cabinet, or the majority house party in any way, unless personally approved by the president himself.

Trump's gonna break from criticism in some way, and it'll either end up with him stepping down (unlikely), balls-to-the-walls nuclear loving war (likely) or the suspension of free speech (very likely).

NYT should tweet back that they don't give a poo poo talking to him, they'll talk to the guys under him who are pissed off about their boss. And they'll be a whole lot of them in the next four years.

I can't believe people spent pages arguing whether we can attribute hillary's loss to sexism. It's already become clear that Hillary lost cause she was over reliant on polls and was complacent in providing a good economic message to the rust belt. We've got more than enough of a peek behind her campaign's curtain to understand just how dysfunctional it was. Hell, even Obama was calling out her lovely ground game.

If Hillary was a competent politician she would've won. She didn't lose because of sexism she lost because she was a worse politician than trump.

Maybe conservatives are right. Maybe government isn't the solution, because greedy vindictive assholes inevitably take over and use it to hurt people or deny needed services. Maybe those of us with actual hearts should be working together to do what we can instead.

(I know it's not an either-or scenario, but this is reminding me that we haven't lost all avenues for improving the world)
