The joke goes even farther back than that, Morn is a play on Norm from cheers. I wonder how that happened Didn't they also reference how he once snapped (off-screen of course) and wrecked quarks bar? I remember laughing at that but not the circumstances

I wonder how that happened Yeah he was terrified of being killed/the end of his way of life with the impending dominion occupation of DS9. He was their weeping frenchman. Somebody please photoshop morn to look like the weeping frenchman please, or vice-versa. E; nm, that sounds like it would only be funny to me. Actually that;s all the more reason to do it after I think about it for a second.

Morn is the best character. Even someone who never speaks gets character development on DS9.

I liked when Morn got told to go home when he was passed on a bench so he went straight to Quarks which was closed for the Nagus or something

Whenever picard orders some random ensign to change course, and they don't respond with an 'Aye Sir' just sitting there in silence, it's really obvious that they just didn't wanna pay them.

I remember some nerd at a convention asking why Morn didn't talk and the boring reason they gave was they'd have to give the guy a SAG card if he got a speaking part, and he could ask for more money

Looks like Michelle Yeoh is set to join the bad lesbian fanfic canon as she has been cast on ST:D as the lead and will be fictionally flung at everything vaguely female in the beautiful medium of unauthorized fanart. Heaven help her once the late-series Jeri Ryan equivalent shows up to sell a 4th ST:D season to Netflix.

I totally forgot about this 7th season episode where Kira teleports to Empok Nor because apparently we have to see one last uncomfortable rapey showdown with Dukat.

I know they occasionally raided it for spare parts, but wasn't leaving a space station capable of just as much nonsense as DS9 just lying around a security risk? What if someone did the thing that made it fly around and did a colony drop on Bajor?

What if someone did the thing that made it fly around and did a colony drop on Bajor? It's way the hell out in the middle of nowhere, in an entirely different star system in fact, and the effort it would take to strip Empok Nor bare would be too costly just for maintaining one station. Plus it's full of Cardassian boobytraps, so no-one sane is going to try and loot the place.

One commonality among all Star Treks is the lack of acknowledgement of the fact that you could just warp rocks or garbage or whatever at planets.

I'm predicting that the dead alien criminal who just arrived on DS9 for the Diridium shipment is a decoy and the real alien is posing as the Starfleet security officer who doesn't trust Odo. At the very end of the episode the actual security guy will arrive and everybody looks wide eyed at each other. If I'm wrong, I'll watch Threshold.

Because it is the best episode at making the entire Bajoran race look like terrible, stupid assholes. And any race that procreates exclusively via gangbangs and train running cant be all bad.

Come to think of it most of DS9's bad episodes are from early on where the writers didn't know what they wanted to do yet so every episode was "whoa a wacky mcguffin is coming through the wormhole!"
