The cops are going to follow laws that were not designed for this kind situation (e.g. state law says you cannot burn tires, so do we arrest the protestors for violating the state environmental rules?), and the protestors are going to continue fighting something way bigger than a pipeline (use of fossil fuels, tribal rights and treaty violations, environmental impact from infrastructure, etc.) with no end in sight. Why everyone knows that the Nazis granted Japan honorary Aryanhood! And as the the rightful shepherds of Asia that obviously extended to the Vietnamese (Not Chinese or Koreans though). (Are there any good books on Imperial Japanese rule in Asia because I've seen nothing major on it and considering how disruptive that was to existing Western Colonial power in the area I'm surprised it's so hard to come across scholarly work on the subject.
