Does anyone here still read Sluggy Freelance? It finally feels like its all building towards a finale, and the run of one of the oldest webcomics will be over, and the author has basically confirmed that we are in the last stretch... although it might take a year or two.

hasn't it been "all building towards a finale" for like five years now

I'm not falling for that. People have been saying that for years

Well I think we have spent a full year on one actual day at this point. Pulling everything and everyone together, bringing every player into position... So I dunno, I am sure he can absolutely draw it out if he wants to, but based on the news posts Pete does seem to be eager to finish it at this point, and it SEEMS like the climax is coming soon.

Always the chance we get a random sixth month tangent of course.

Well it was building up towards the demon climax for what felt like forever, and we did finally get that at least.

This feels like we will be getting the HC climax soon, I suppose its possible this isnt the final climax but if its not I am pretty sure this is gonna keep going until Pete dies....

It's becoming fairly obvious who the mystery individual is who keeps dropping off clues to help Lottie investigate the mystery of the Tackleford Chamber of Commerce.

Love Me Nice: http://www.lovemenicecomic.com/comic/191.php

It is basically a Roger Rabbit like world, with a focus on show biz drama. The comic itself is safe, but the creator has done plenty NSFW stuff for Slipshine, one even used characters from LMN.

Anyways she put Poppy and the princess in the background of one her updates in a diner. That looks exactly like the one they are in now.

Edit- I just noticed that they even used the same Waitress as well.

Poppy and the Queen's booth even have a curtain, just like in the origina LMN pages.

This webcomic multiverse double reference is good :golfclap:

Edit: What is less good is that this Poppy update reminded me Love Me Nice exists, and by extension that it is basically a dead comic. Love it, but it never updates.

Edit Total non-sequitur, does anyone else find it as amusing as I do that with every page, SFP turns more and more into an unironic version of that Strong Female Characters HAV strip?

I think the problem is that when it came to a part where the comic would have to take stand on a position, the writer of the comic decided to avoid any compelling/divisive point. because any kind of visceral message about the reality of superhuman millennials would upset someone out there. so what we get is allison bumbling from one unsolvable problem to the next since she doesn't want to use her ability to break people in half in a wrong way
