That's definitely a thing that has been more complicated than I expected from my own personal experience and upbringing. I grew up in a farming family who'd sold off most of the farmland and started a business selling farm implements in the same area, and I was basically brought up to learn to desire to do something bigger and different than my ancestors. Then my immediate and still living ancestors decided somewhere right around the time of their retirement age that my going to college instead of digging holes and selling tractors meant that I somehow was looking down on them - I mean this all happened in a vacuum it's not as though I ever spent any time with most of my rural family or even talked about politics around them (because I was a guest in their house and they watched rush limbaugh and I and mine just kept our mouths shut, and turned the TV off when those same folks visited us.) Especially with people claiming that they feel put down being called rednecks - look, I grew up with that sunburn and was proud of it, and I'm proud of not having it anymore but it doesn't mean I think someone's less of a person for continuing to be a redneck - I grew up on Charlie Daniels and Waylon Jennings, not Jill Stein albums.

Alabama raised with one side of the family being Okie shitkickers (Think grapes of Wrath, my paternal grandparents were born during the Dust Bowl) and the other side my (Dutch) great grandfather got kicked out of South Africa for being an anti-Apartheid, Marxist, union organizer. Unfortunately my relatives have taken the wrong lessons from that and are regressive poo poo heads in a lot of cases. It has been a useful tool for helping me and my brother breaking my dad of his shittier beliefs, especially when we use his own past of running bonded liquor into dry counties against his authoritarian streak.

I personally feel that the greatest irony is that my grandfather who started the tractor-sales stuff and sold off most of the property, moved to CA and got a winter home in NV and then ignored all the family in Nebraska until he was dying - at which point he waved around the mining and oil rights he'd been leasing to big companies for a few decades and claimed that he was going to stop paying taxes on it all just because we had stopped paying attention to our roots and that my dad was a lieberal public (full time) schoolteacher (also registered Republican to this day, and member of the NRA same as me) and only a "hobby farmer" with a mere 40 acres in Oregon. It's basically impossible to have a conversation with an 80-90 year old man who has been spending all his free time listening to Rush Limbaugh for 20+ years. A lot of my childhood memories are of grandma and grandpa rolling up in their big-rear end coach RV right back from whatever casino they'd spend a week at last. I'd never seen or touched a $100 bill util grandpa flared his gambling winnings! I haven't gotten the heart to ask my dad if he voted for Hillary because I know he hated her for non-disclosed reasons and was kinda leaning Bernie the last we talked about it, and it would break my heart if he'd gone for Johnson or Stein or Trump or N/A coyo7e fucked around with this message at 02:20 on Nov 26, 2016 |

There is legitimately a lot of hay that can be made with regards to old union actions that can be used to break a lot of the anti-socialist prejudices in white people. It's the tying it into anti-racism that proves the most difficult. You can talk all you want about how racial divides being used to keep the working class down, but drat is it hard to get them to not blame minorities instead of white supremacy. You can lead a horse to water but you can't always stop it from just drinking it's own piss. Edit: Also re:YPP, I really wished they had forgone the use of the Confederate flag just so they couldn't be used to justify redeeming that loving rag. One of the most amazing things to me coming from the west coast and when I go to Nebraska (besides how they don't even understand that you can cook vegetables in a fashion to make them tasty without pickling) was how nobody seemed to have any issues about Hispanic encroachment - but goddamn do they hate and fear the Chinese! It's pretty logical when I look at how much farmland most of these folks have or are directly related to folks who have it and what they rely on for a labor force - versus the nebulous alien outrage

A local principal posted about him and his family going to Chicago for the Thanksgiving weekend. He posted that they came across "a Black Lives Matter anti-Trump protest". He then proceeds to claim that all the problems in the world came from Clinton and Obama. He also claimed that they just lied about Trump and his supporters. My favorite thing is that every posts how "Obama caused all of this racial division and hatred." Do these people not know history? Besides being President while being black, what has Obama done to cause this?

The sins of the fathers, etc. I suspect he will live well past 100 because the man has no heart, just a vile cesspool of hatred that bubbles with racism and pure spite.

Oh there are differences for sure, but they aren't very pronounced aside from medicines working slightly different and slight variations in physiology, as expected when evolution continues apace in different parts of the world. The problem with the articles you mentioned is that people of various races and sexes might have differences, those are oftentimes not going to bar those people from working by and large the same way anyone else does. Culture, diet and surroundings are in all likelyhood the culprits for bigger differences in groups (aside from issues like inbreeding in various locales).

I tried looking up that site on Facebook and it reads like a scandal rag. Tons of fake "Breaking news" and boring poo poo absolutely no one cares about except the easily outraged. I particularly liked the one that went on about how the Climate's Changed before there were humans therefore Climate Change isn't real.
