The practical effects of a large house of reps would be first more local influence which seems like a good idea, but also more Washington influence by the unelected leadership. Kind of similar to term limits. Less powerful office holders means more powerful behind the scenes folks.

Bullshitting here, but we need another house or something. The Urban House, the Rural house and the Senate.

I still can't understand any good reason house seasons even need to be attended in person anymore. Have most house members stay in their district most of the time and vote over secure connection.

It's important for those in Congress to be able to speak to one another in order to create these bills, and it's important for them to be able to do so in person.

What have House members done to make you think they even know what a secure connection is?

How was anyone supposed to know before the elections that all the polls were wrong? Looking back on it with the knowledge of the actual result and the benefit of hindsight, it's clear that the polls were wrong. But before the election, the polls were generally believed to be accurate and there's going to be a lot of study into what went wrong with them. This also has deep implications for the DNC, whose post-Dean strategy was to make more efficient use of their resources by identifying close races, key races, and races they had locked down, and then using that knowledge to hyper-focus and concentrate their efforts where they'll be most effective in winning races.

You only need to know the names of three members of Congress - the House rep for your district and the two Senators for your state. The rest are optional.

I'm pretty sure he didn't let his astrologist rewrite his speeches, ban him from wearing certain colors, or blackmail millions of dollars from major corporations.

Yes, I know Reagan was a doddering old fool lol, but let's keep things in perspective.

I'll never understand why people defend Trump's ganglion reflexes to every little loving thing. Maybe the eporw mother fuckers just can't deal with self-reflection or don't know how to have an argument without frothing at the mouth feel kinship with a man who gets butthurt at the slightest provocation.

I'd rather Obama pardon one of the whistle blowers that accepted their punishment despite knowing if they kept quiet they'd still be free.
