I like the part of the campaign where hillary and her cnn people claimed they were raising more money for down ballet races and welp, lost almost all levels of governments from the state up. So, we're they lying about the fund helping down ballet or what happened? Cause I remember this being a bernie issue.

I'm aware of the key failures in the rust belt states, but the dems got fuckin' obliterated on a ton of levels and I don't know what happened to that big ol' downballot fund.

For the down ballot victory fund only a small percentage went to tickets despite what hill folk claim.

Presidential turnout affects downticket turnout too. You can spend 1.3 billion dollars, but you have to be a good candidate generally to get your people to turn out to vote for you, and thus downtickets

My favorite post-election "analysis" is that Hillarys abysmal turnout was unrelated to downticket because "more people voted for Hillary in (state) than (downticket dem)".

Yup HIllary and the DNC starved down ticket support to fuel her campaign warchest quote:But during the three-month period when the DNC was working to spin the situation, state parties kept less than one half of one percent of the $82 million raised through the arrangement — validating concerns raised by campaign finance watchdogs, state party allies and Bernie Sanders supporters. State parties got less .5% rest of the money went to Hillary even though the ad campaign said the money was to help elect dems in the downticket races.

They lost, bad. Why would anyone listen to their ideas? Better to try to weather the storm and at least stay in the party.

It's probably because he has much more inner strength than Hillary due to having many lost elections early in his political career before being to elected as the mayor of Burlington. Hillary by contrast was only able to advance through her vast network of political connectors into her softball senate seat.

There should probably be separate threads for leftist dems to discuss the path forward (party positions, integrating socialism in to the platform, messaging) and another for more centrist dems to discuss their plans (arguing with Trump's twitter account, being angry at Russia).
