Jesus gently caress, I hate this world that stupid chan and reddit poo poo can turn out to have real consequences. The biggest problem is most people still thing "It's just the internet, it doesn't matter" and "it's only a few people", and that just enables this poo poo. It's going to take someone being killed and it not just being seen as some lone nut for people to wake up and realize that poo poo on the internet can have the same effect as tv and newspapers. We're in another era of Yellow Journalism, just online rather in newspapers. The Boxer Rebellion was caused by fake news being believed by people in China which lead to horrible actions by the Chinese and in retaliation by the Colonial powers.

And it really says a lot about people that their first reactions is to threaten murder to people. Thank god most of these are weird nerds living in basements jerking off to Overwatch Porn to actually do anything, but we know that there was at least 2 people that killed people because of poo poo they read online, but again, they were just dismissed as lone nuts, or people fell over themselves to try to explain why the poo poo they were saying was completely different than the poo poo these people believed, but it was clearly the same poo poo.

I saw a thing that explains yea, the Podesta's probably kidnapped, I think Madeline McCann, based on a ton of circumstantial evidence. Those weirdly perfectly accurate police sketches, the fact one of the Podesta's likes an artist who does do some weird paintings, and they were near the location when it happened. I need to see if I can find it.

It's almost impossible to tell the exact order of things as an outsider looking in on the churning conspiracy generators, but this is what I've gathered pizzagate is:

Wikileaks releases John Podesta's emails.
Someone finds the "spirit cooking" email in the leaks -- Marina Abramovich inviting John Podesta's brother to dinner, calling it "spirit cooking" in reference to one of her conceptual art pieces. This is taken to mean that John Podesta snacks on cum on the regular as part of Satanic rituals
People start combing the email leaks for other references to food. They find emails with sentences that presumably made sense to the recipient but are baffling to outsiders, like "handkerchief with a pizza-related map" and "doing better at dominoes on cheese". They eventually decide it's actually a simple cipher, where "pizza" and "cheese" mean child sex.
They then start looking for links between Podesta and "pizza", and are led to Comet Ping-Pong, owned by James Alefantis (whose name according to Reddit taunts the public because it sounds like "j'aime les enfantes", as if he were some kind of pedo Phoenix Wright villain). This is the birth of "pizzagate" as a distinct belief/movement/Reddit community.
Alefantis has a very weird Instagram account. Reddit obligingly combs it and assumes every single picture with a child or something that they can't immediately understand as evidence that children are being abused at his restaurant. They especially flip out at pictures of foundation renovations and plumbing in an unfinished basement, which they take as evidence that there is an underground bunker beneath the restaurant where children are permanently imprisoned.
Alefantis is also a popular guy in the DC community with a lot of ties to prominent figures. This means they're all in on it too, obviously. Anyone who can be shown to be a friend of a friend of Alefantis or has ever gone to Comet Ping Pong is implicated in the abuse.

There's also other branches like the supposed Podesta/Madeleine McCain connection (apparently John and his brother were so hard up for children that they flew overseas, hung out outside hotels until they could find an unsupervised kid and then somehow spirited her back to the US) and how Podesta's involvement in the modern art scene proves he's a prodigious pervert because the right likes to take performance art completely literally. It is a cornucopia of conspiratorial thinking.

Back during the early days of Chanology the website that wound up becoming the most central place for coordinating the effort (Enturbulation.org) was run by goons. No? They started 4chan because they wanted to mostly post images from anime and other things without writing much. Which wasn't really allowed on SA at the time.

Yea, this is exactly what I heard. I've just heard a lot of stuff and figured that was the most likely to of happened.

here's the article that I was talking about that claims that the Podestas did in fact kidnapp McCain based on "Verifiable evidence"; among them is that they know Dennis Hastert, who was in government for decades so I'm pretty sure anyone in government over the age of 50 probably knows him. Plus a bunch of circumstantial and I think some really bizarre twisting of a statue (it looks just like a Dhalmer victim. though it doesn't)

Two of my friends asked me to watch Soaked in Bleach with them, and I have a feeling I was being sold one version of the narrative. The most common truther argument in this case is "Kurt was so happy leading up to the incident, he was saying how well everything was shaping up for him and the future looked good" as if this was somehow ironclad proof that Courtney did it - and that is completely ignoring the fact that many personality disorders or depression, combined with drug use, can easily give moods shifting from joyous mania to suicidal ideation.
