i mean its something that people would ironically double down on for the bad-rear end factor so why not

Maybe its the play on words on pig? A capitalist pig who owned a pig goes to jail. I don't know

Also I don't know what's wrong with helping millennial recover from the very system by using the system in an ironic twist

One of the reasons why upper middle class/lower upper class people are more scared of communism/socialism is because they have the stink of the "rich" but can't easily run away like millionaires and billionaires can. Of course most of those fears are unfounded and in this day and age the wealthiest are not massive land owners but tech barons/financial elites/celebrities.

If you're making enough money off your investments that you could theoretically retire, you're a capitalist. Otherwise you're a laborer in the capitalist system who is being stolen from by the rich. See the difference between workers and leeches?

it is absurd that a Communist dictator would punish petty property ownership.

BTW, if you own your own home you are a millionaire and must be destroyed to satisfy the class struggle.

Eh. Maybe more than a million in assets but nothing above 2-3 million. Of course these days actual raw numbers don't mean poo poo when living costs around this country are downright schizophrenic. On a similar note Iv always been very interested in how a modern socialist revolution (political or otherwise) would work when the means of production are much different than they used to be and so much wealth is entirely theoretical

so basically you're saying we should abolish investment, one of the major mechanisms by which capitalism has been successful in increasing the wealth of nations, altogether?

No, I'm saying the structure of investment should be socialized to invest for the good of all members of society and not just for those who can amass enough wealth to buy in.

This makes no sense, not even the more hardcore Marxists deny the significance of capital investment in generating wealth. They just want a democratic control over capital.

One of the biggest things thats overlooked in the Capitalism Versus Communism slap fight is most socialist and communist states post-ww2 were founded in war torn hell holes decimated by Civil War or WW2. Meanwhile the bastion of Capitalism and Our Freedoms remained untouched and dumped billions into rebuilding western Europe. So in the end the result we saw was less to do with methods of governance and more "I have more resources I win"

this is why people are rather eager to invest in western countries, slightly less eager but still willing to invest in china and Russia, and not very willing to invest in Ethiopia where the government will simply nationalise your assets as they see fit
