so spammers recently found out they could push calendar invitations straight to iphones and bypass email filters due to iCloud's default settings.. whatever iCloud's always been a piece of poo poo but the only way to change that setting is to go to the desktop version of icloud.com, and if requesting the desktop version of icloud.com on iOS safari doesn't work right because apparently it's too hard to design an apple website to work on an apple web browser on an apple device (it's impossible to scroll around the page to the settings icon)

Now that the New York Times has picked up on Apple's terrible software they've pointed out you can go to icloud.com and dig around in settings which you would never discover on your own and instead have the spam redirected to your email in lieu of setting up basic filters on their network in the first place and providing a mechanism to delete events.

The instructions specifically said I had to do it from a desktop computer on incloud.com. There was no way to do it from iOS. I think it had something to do with calendar sharing.
