Seriously we ought to make voting last for a whole week, with two of those days being paid holidays. The democratic process is literally at the core of our country, it is shameful that we don't give it the respect it deserves. All elections should last a week, too, not just the executive one.
no what's going to happen is that the GOP is going to throw a tantrum and dems will fold like they always have because economic voter disenfranchisement is also helpful to the rich

I'm not a huge fan of mail in voting outside of special circumstances but I think early voting at county buildings and having satellite locations in the week or two prior to the election should be standard everywhere.

there's diminishing returns at least, you can only siphon the wealth out of the people for so long to the point where they're all eating each other, everyone being too poor to buy your products and as a result your stock prices crash after being the highest they've ever been because apparently that's the only economic factor that matters :iamafag:

Maybe we can trick the system by creating a glut of credit, that way people can still buy stuff even though they don't have money.

Nobody is running for public office for 2 years and given what states are up in the senate, there's really no election the democrats can win for 4 years. He's the guy being annointed by both the establishment and progressive sides as the new face of the party right now, and will continue to be until we have a democratic presidential nominee. Being painted as an antisemitic closet jihadist is a big deal and something he needs to squelch in its infancy, if he had any sense. Swiftboating and emailghazi demonstrate you can't just ignore something if you don't think it's a valid attack and expect it to go away.

This argument is retarded, the big argument against Sanders is "he's a SOCIALIST" which they already blew their load on with Obama

maybe the party could actually support opposition to these attacks on poo poo being done 20 years ago like the GOP does (even though they do that for stuff done "20 minutes ago" instead of "20 years ago") instead of crawl in a hole and die as dems are inclined to do

It's funny because it touches on issues that are still argued over today, like the rights of colleges and college groups to host controversial speakers. Or speaking at events that clearly racist people are also speaking at. But of course, if any Republican did those things, you can ignore it.

Obama was charismatic and able to shrug off attacks. Sanders was capable of saying millionaires and billionaires in a funny accent over and over. I mean I get the guy had better political positions than Clinton, but beyond the babby's first leftist candidate people, he wasn't particularly inspiring on the stump.
