Many top level footballers who played in Europe now go on to China for a "last payday" after they're over the top in the top European leagues. I wonder how their experiences are, do they also get scammed and lied to at every step, so far I haven't heard anything. The closest I got was a class mate of mine befriended an Argentinan player for Shanghai Shenhua. And while I never met the player in question from the few stories my classmate told me, the Argentinan was utterly miserable in Shanghai not due to money, but because he couldn't even speak English let alone Chinese so he just was alone in his huge penthouse when not training/playing.

call me a racist or an orientalist I don't care, I posted the Iverson story, and the other one about world records, on my Facebook and just wrote "CHINA" and it gets liked only from people who have lived and worked in China, but they all get it. It is China at its most pure. If you have not experienced things like this, you either have never been to China or you spend all day watching Netflix in your apartment. There is nothing more China than these two stories, along with "bulldozer battle"
