Seeing American Zionist organizations mount this fierce attack on Keith Ellison and not Donald trump makes be wonder if they care more about Israel than they do about their own personal safety from actual nazi antisemites in their own countries. Like, is their fanaticism so deep for Israel that they'd rather have themselves led into camps rather than allow someone critical of that lovely country but also who's looking out for their own safety and well being in a multi racial society ever reach positions of influence?!

You guys have some short memories. There was no real problem with sick burns in this thread, although some were not keen on on them. It was weak burns that were roundly criticized. Sick burns are still okay. Weak burns are bad.

Eh, it was also that sick burns are still a very poor substitute for actual advocacy and action, and are generally ineffective because they're often at best preaching to the choir and frequently are actually counterproductive because they're rooted in things like coded class/cultural assumptions. That doesn't mean they're not still fun, especially if they're being made by someone who is actually doing the work and whose burn isn't predicated on that sort of divisive rhetoric.
