Bashir wants Dax, Jadzia wants Sisko, Kurzon wants Jadzia, Miles wants Bashir, Cardassian women want Miles, Odo wants Kira, Kira wants Bareil. Compared to the sexual tension of DS9, everyone on TNG and TOS were a bunch of eunuchs. There's some article about how the lack of sexuality in most of Star Trek is why the show is popular with pedos oh here is is http://www.huffingtonpost.com/ellen-ladowsky/pedophilia-and-star-trek_b_5857.html

After rewatching DS9 and Wynn's endlessly creepy relationship at the end that gets so much screen time, I'm pretty sure Ron Moore modeled every relationship in BSG after it.

Season 7's move towards serialization by the end really didn't pan out that well. It's not that the individual stories got worse, but the sharp transition towards an ongoing plot rather than a continuity driven series of individual episodes meant that more time was spent with certain characters than necessary. I felt there were a lot of missed opportunities in the final few episodes, and some things just got weird. It also didn't help that they literally ran out of budget after doing Sisko and Dukat's dive into Mount Doom, so the entire final space battle was created out of stock footage from Sacrifice of Angels and the battle of Chin'Toka.

TNG season 3, The Enemy. Worf refuses to save a guy's life. Picard is fine with this. Worf doesn't get kicked out of Starfleet.

I think its a matter of all "First X In Starfleet" crew members getting a hell of a lot of leeway in order to preserve the ethos of the federation. You'd get in poo poo as a Captain just for sending a Worf-type to a disciplinary panel. Nog probably went on to sell an entire ship later in his career when he found no specific rule against it and it sped up his journey through Sheliak space or something.

That's... kind of a possible outcome of respecting bodily autonomy, yeah. It'd be highly hosed up if Starfleet was able to say "you have to submit to having your blood and other bodily fluids and tissues harvested at any time we deem necessary."

I mean, one day Ensign Ezri finished up her routine paperwork in the ship's computer and was thinking about what to do for dinner when word came in that the Dax symbiont was dying and since she was the only Trill on the ship, joining with it was the only way to save its life, and even though a Trill joining was like a thousand times as serious and permanent and life-changing as a marriage she said "Um... okay? I guess?" because it was the right thing to do, and the next thing she knew she wasn't just Ezri anymore, she was Ezri loving Dax and was a completely different person and had centuries of new memories and hadn't had any of the usual years of training that you go through before being joined and aaaaaaaaaaaaa how the hell do you even start to deal with that? They got to explore a bit of this in the last season, but not in the depth it really deserved. I hate to say it since I rather liked Terry Farrell (and I thought she was great with Worf), but from a storytelling perspective it might have been better if Jadzia had died a few seasons earlier.

why do people not believe the relationship between kira and odo? Odo had infinite dicks of any size. I'm not even gay but I'd consider it.

Odo has this whole unrequited love thing for Kira long before the show starts. He gets his girl then ditches her to "go be with my people" who he really hasn't much in common with at all. Weird. Unless his thing is the chase and not the prize or she wasn't all that, what a waste of time. For him and the audience.

Blood Fever; The Doctor teaches a Vulcan ensign how to gently caress holograms to work off his libido, while senior command officers encourage Tom Paris to bang B'elanna because she's been put under the influence of the Pon'Farr. Nobody ever considers sedating either of them. I did like the little stinger at the end of who the mysterious invaders were though The Borg!

What the gently caress was Starfleet thinking sending Dax back to DS9? Don't you think that would gently caress with people's emotional trauma a little? Like 'my friend died and I'm trying to get over that but she's not -really- dead but sorta is and this new person remembers the times I creeped on her previous host' c'mon man.
