The thing with Pakistan and Taiwan aren't world ending fuckups they're just signs that a) despite skipping all the national security briefings, Trump seems to legit have no idea what he's doing when he accidentally hits on touchy subjects for major nations, and b) seems to be best friends with the last person to speak with him and show him a bit of respect and so can probably be very easily manipulated by anyone who realizes this.
