I've seen the times as accurate, but they change depending on traffic. It seems like they may use a GPS system to track where the buses actually are and estimates their arrival time like using Google Maps.

Good news: We got our Magical Express luggage tags. Yay!

The balance on my trip is due 12/6, 30 days before arrival. Yet I don't see anywhere to actually pay it. I've searched through the My Reservations and My Itinerary sections but there's nothing about paying a balance. It offered to allow us to begin check-in, so we did that, but nothing about paying the current balance. Any ideas?

Did you use a travel agent? If so, only the agent can process a payment.

Nope, booked it online at Disneyworld.com.

Based on all of these issues, we're definitely using an agent next time. Do you book disneyland trips as well?

Anyone done a non-Florida departing Disney Cruise? We're looking at doing one this Spring with some family but we've all done Bahamas/Caribbean so a change would be nice if anyone has a recommendation. Our cousins did the Norway one which looks incredible but we can't swing 10+ days of vacation time.

Might have to give Disney a call and see if you can make your payment that way.

I would be delighted to help you next time and I do book Disneyland as well!

The Disney Parks Blog live stream to light up the Death Star is happening right now and they just announced they're doing both Jingle Bell Jingle Bam and the Star Wars Galactic Show on the same goddamn nights from 12/16-12/31 and that's just a whole lot of fireworks.

Dinner at Tiffins last night and some pics from AK/MK. Tiffins was incredible, the whole fish was probably the best dish I've had at Disney, second only to the old pork belly dish at Coral Reef a few years back with the jimca slaw. Not pictured: the three plates of desserts they sent out since they all know my wife and it was her birthday. Nomad lounge was great too, the Mustang Coffee was pretty intense (coffee, Crown Royal, brown sugar, and butter). Happy birthday Walt too :3:

Great work on those pictures. That food looks mouth watering. Me and my wife have only done Tiffins lunch thus far, but we have probably been to Nomad lounge half a dozen times. My favorite "chill" bar on property.

Having a quandary about what to do on our last day on property. Magical Express will be picking us up at the Animal Kingdom Lodge at 1:30pm or so. Animal Kingdom park and Hollywood Studios open at 9:00am. Would it be feasible to hit a few rides at one of those parks in that much time, using the resort bus transportation? We would obviously be there for rope drop and stack up Fastpass+ reservations to use before noon.

Am I crazy for trying this? We also have reservations at Boma, so worst case scenario we have a leisurely breakfast.

Edited to add: this is at a super unbusy time of year, on a Wednesday, so not anticipating much I the way of crowds.

I would just take your leisurely breakfast and not rely on the bus to get you back to AKL before 1:30. Sometimes it's nice to relax before traveling.

I wouldn't attempt a park day with that time frame. I had a very similar set up on my last trip and I didn't bother trying to hit a park. It's just too risky, I think. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, maybe do a little shopping at your resort and soak in as much of AKL as you can before you have to leave.

We usually did this when when we used Magical Express.

One of our trips we tried to do some Disney Springs shopping before a 2:00PM Magical Express departure, we ended up cutting it really close since the buses can be unpredictable. If you do try it, give yourself at least 90 minutes to get back. If your trip was short and you really want to hit those rides again it's possible, but I know I would enjoy a leisurely morning. Sleep in, finish packing, have a nice brunch and brace myself for dealing with MCO.

You should be able to squeeze in 3 hours though if you really want to.

That's what I did on my last day. I had a 220 pick up for MDE, from AKL and I decided against doing MK and went to HS to see if I could hop on rockin rollercoaster and putz around for a couple hours (RR reopened that day). I didn't get in the bus until 11 because I saw my husband off to his pickup, and checked all of my things, but I just wanted to be in a park for my birthday. Ended up taking a cab back because the standby by line for RR had taken an hour by the time I got done, but I was back to AKL around 155. Had a leisurely breakfast as well down at Mara instead of Boma though.

It's totally doable, but I would say do either AK or HS, pick 2 things to do, or just wander around them and soak it in. Making sure you're totally packed up the night before will help as well. It was just me, so it worked well. YMMV if there's more than 2 people.

Edit: I am also a crazy person who likes to soak in all park atmosphere. But all I did was Frozen sing along, get an electric lemonade, and RR. And I was sprinting to the cab line. If you 8-11 it, it's doable. All depends on the length of your flights and travel home and how you feel. Originally I was gonna do a bunch of stuff at MK but I scrapped it at the last moment.

I do a bit or travel in and out of MCO for work, TSA Pre-Check is worth its weight in gold. Plus when my family travels with me on vacation on the same reservation they are covered under pre-check as well.

Thanks, everyone. Though it sounds like we could theoretically make it to Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios, I think we'll just hang at the AKL and enjoy the pool and the giraffes.

That's what we did for our honeymoon and we loved it. The cruise can be as Disney or as adult as you want, since many parts of the ship are adult only. The food is fantastic, the service is equal to deluxe resorts, and the entertainment and activities on board are really varied and fun. My only recommendation would be to book your island excursions independently to find some much better prices or off the beaten path activities. The lunch buffet on board is better than the island food in most cases especially at Castaway Cay (the Disney Island). Also, unlimited banana ice cream cones beside the elevators, dear lord.

Oh it's definitely still Disney, but more subtle or mature in nature. There are nightclubs that feature newlywed games on stage with audience members, adult only pools and hot tubs on the level above the main family deck (that features a huge outdoor movie screen playing Disney movies 24/7), fine dining restaurants that are 18+, spas and fitness centers, that kind of thing. You're always aware that you're surrounded by Disney, but you can get away from the screaming kids at anytime and just relax. We would spend each evening out on the deck after midnight just eating ice cream and hanging out while all the kids were asleep, and it was fantastic.
