Especially the Naga sub-boss. It kept turning us all into toads and hit like a truck while barely taking damage. Explored the whole place and got the moogle charm so that was pretty cool. Also glad that the daemons don't respawn in there while you're exploring because it's a maze.

I ran into the Naga yesterday and just gave up and hopped out. I'm building up EXP so I can stay in the expensive hotel, but once that's done I'm going to a campground, cooking the status resistance food and running back in to finish the job. I've had enough trouble with status effects in the Camp battles (only time I've hated Prompto, although him singing the FF Victory Music to preempt his 1-hit k.o. attack is amazing sound design but seriously stop turning me into a frog).

i dont even care if someone dislikes cindy, the design is kinda dumb, i just don't get why people need to make broad sweeping statements about women and the people who designed her and animated her (some of which were women!) and try to get weak owns in that often just expose their own weird opinions about women, when they could just say 'i think this design is dumb.'

I mean calling her "tits mcgee" is weird but the point remains that the game is insanely male gazey about her, to an eye-rolling extent when you refill the car at Hammerhead and it gives you very blatant cleavage shots as she leeeeeeeeeans over the windshield. It's not a big issue or a ding against the game, just a weird design

I think it's fair to say that character design is part of characterization and when you create a character design that clashes or overwhelms other parts of characterization ti actually does harm things. Cindy suffers pretty heavily from this because she comes so early in the game and the camera is basically in love with her rear end so even though her character is just 'excitably friendly mechanic" it leaves a weird lasting impression. Aranea's design isn't particularly less cheesecake but it also doesn't really overwhelm the rest of her character. Fun fact: Of one of your characters goes down, Aranea frigging slaps them across the face to wake them up, compared to the friendly bro-hugs. Aranea owns.
