Oh yeah - there's no way AIDA's not totally convinced she's doing the right thing. She's programmed to be the shield, after all. There's no real evil there. It's power mixed with naivete. That seems to be a running theme this season.

I hope it turns out by the end that the entire team's been replaced but the LMDs are just as heroic as they are and mount a rescue mission to save the real ones. Also for laughs, throw in a Ward LMD that gets destroyed in 10 seconds.

Also, I was hoping Wong or Tina Minoru would come take the Darkhold off their hands in the stinger just to wrap up the book plot.

Wong would have been a nice tie-in; I mean, they had Samuel L. Jackson and Colbie Smulders back in the day, so it could be feasible to get another person involved in the films to come out... someday.. I'm thinking they're going to hold back on the Minoru's as The Runaways is being produced on Hulu.

It would be interesting if Aida and her company of droids gradually chips away the SHIELD team, replacing the agents one by one (so the next target should be Simmons and Fitz since they are the most likely to figure out that something is wrong), until she gets them all...

Also interesting if the May-bot is not aware that she is a bot (although the logistics of that don't quite work).

She's going rogue because she mainlined the Darkhold, which is most definitely evil. I'm betting it's completely hosed with her original programming at this point.

In the comics, the LMDs aren't generally aware that they're LMDs, so it could work.

That seems like the basic goal, to me. The best way to use LMDs as a shield against agents being injured/dying is, naturally, to fully replace human agents with LMDs.

I didn't trust PR Guy. Something was always just... off about him. I expected to see Senator Nadir show up when he hung up with Mace. Aida probably figured out that he wasn't any good, and prevented another Ward scenario.

I really like that whole sequence. The use of the speedster to enhance what everyone else is already doing is a pretty clever use of the power.
