So the kid got upset, the girl's dad was upset, my dad had to talk this guy down from killing the stupid racist fucks... Christ, there's enough reasons to hate people, come up with something a little bit more sophisticated than "ur skin is a different color" in 2016. Anyway... on the 1488 front, I don't think there's a broad conspiracy of racists using 1448 as their pins, and if they are, they're an insignificant data point. I believe the manual calls out replacement of that fluid at 100,000 miles, but a toasted MG is gonna be a hell of a lot more expensive. I'll probably have an independent shop swap the fluid one MG/transaxle at a time or see how much the dealership wants for the service. I also didn't realize it but on some of those MG's the motor has one rotor and stator, and the generator has a smaller, completely separate rotor and stator on the same shaft.

I forgot to mention the pre-collision system went off for the first time today when someone did a hard-brake-and-turn-into-Joanne-Fabrics maneuver. I hear this loud beeping and my console screen goes bright red with a white "BRAKE!" flashing in the middle. It was a no-issue and disappeared, I have it set for high sensitivity. Pump would've originally been opened/closed by a solenoid, the Napa Auto Pro that did the engine swap converted it to a pullknob. I could get a replacement solenoid and wire up a rocker switch like most people who do this swap, but I like the knob.
