There will be no impeachment proceedings against Trump. Pence can puppet the no-puppet no puppet you're the puppet just fine as VP why would anyone put their neck out to impeach and just get what already exists. If they play their cards right they can get 16 yrs of Pence. For the first 8 they just have a real dumb figurehead that seems to have a disapproval floor and is essentially immune to all controversy.

He doesn't want to do the day-to-day job of being president. He wants Pence to do that. He doesn't have to "control" Trump, just play nice with his ego and then do the job. If he doesn't do it now it's going to get buried and there won't be any consequences.
