Yu-Gi-Ho! posted:Saw my new doctor for the first time today. Was honest about occasional marijuana use. She immediately told that she'll be drug testing me. Her excuse is "I want to see how much you actually use", I think she's more interested to see what else I test positive for - since after all, MARIJUANA IS A GATEWAY DRUG AND PEOPLE WHO USE IT MUST BE USING OTHER DRUGS, right? I recently found out the doctor that saw my grandfather, sees my mither and saw me for a while doesn't accept my new insurance. Which sucks, because any doctor you are honest with for those questions who shrugs her shoulders and says be safe is worth keeping. At the time I'd smoke 1-2 times a week and take molly once a month and told her this. She was surprised by my honesty, warned me to be careful on the molly and don't take melatonin (sleep aid) with it. Other than that she said have fun and we went back to discussing my hosed up knee.

CAT INTERCEPTOR posted:How the gently caress can a doctor not accept insurance.....?? Your insurance will pay them but what is covered and at what percentage depends on if the doctor is in network (basically means they've negotiated to accept lower payments per service under the assumption that being "in network" will drive in more patients) or out of network. Out of network usually means substantially higher out of pocket costs and/or some things not being covered and/or your insurance not directly reimbursing the provider (so you'd pay up front and wait 90 days for a reimbursement check.) What "not accepting new insurance" often means is the practice isn't going to join your insurance company's network. You'll often see this with older doctors nearing retirement who don't want an influx of new patients as a result of suddenly being "in network" with a large insurer. CAT INTERCEPTOR posted:Man your country is just plain hosed. And that's before you get to the fact that this varies by insurance plan, not even just company. I put my wife and kid on a Marketplace plan that was offered through the exact same provider as the one I get through work, because while my company pays for my insurance, I have to pay through the nose to add them. Turns out that they made the marketplace plan cheaper by absolutely loving gutting the number of providers that accept it, so it was basically useless outside of catastrophic coverage. Yet my parents love to bitch about how it's Obamacare that's screwed them, not the fact that Obamacare was hilariously watered down to manage to get past the insurers and GOP. At which point I roll my eyes and point out that the company-sponsored pension they're collecting is the kind of thing I can only dream of. Dead serious, if there wasn't a straight up ban on importing your own pets, I'd have a hard time not going full Bogan.

Go by the book and no real problem from what I hear. I can arrange licensing to keep Drop Bears as a pet. I have a Class 1 Drop Bear license, which means I am allowed to breed and train drop bears as well as train prospective owners as to the best way to keep their drop bear from killing them. A drop Bear makes a wonderful affectionate pet but they do tend to defend their territory agressively.

For my birthday my wife transported me back in time from my mid thirties to my teens. Went to see Korn and Limp Bizkit. Best gig I've been to in years. I thought I would like it in a kinda ironic nostalgic way, but I enjoyed it much more than so many acts I love and respect that aren't trash nu metal bands.

I need to put some of the videos of my driving (in BeamNG) up on YouTube. Gonna be blasting Eurobeat and drifting all over the place.
