I recently designed a logo for someone and discovered that I kinda enjoyed the process so I made a bunch of futuristic hexagon covered bullshit that you might find on a carbon fiber margarita machine or a cyberpunk bionic arm. Procreate (probably the best iPad drawing app) just got a pretty major update. List of new things includes: PSD import(!), built in live streaming, keyboard shortcuts, and some nice layer management stuff.

Yeah, I was major rushing through it all. Majority of the work was yesterday, with like 6 hours on it before I went to work, and then from 11p to 7am last night to finish it. I could definitely have done better. :/ Still I'm glad you like it, even with the faults. Maybe next year's card to John I won't get caught waiting to the last minute, haha.  I think the problem is more that the road and grass don't look far enough away compared to the foreground. They're TECHNICALLY correct on my perspective grid, but I hosed up the sense of depth entirely. I could PROBABLY shave off some of the walkway and it'd look better, but... card's are already printed and the important one was sent off to Malta already. I'll have to do better next time I guess.

I remember when Robosexuals hung out in CYOAs instead of the art thread. Those were good days; a lot of good CYOAs back then. And they were on GBS, unharassed. This would have been well before the Applewhite fiasco of course. The reference drawing in the background is considered weird since you were showing the bust in the first face, and the face and bust in the second. Also, my gut feeling is that mechanism won't work too well without something to keep debris from getting stuck in the joint.

It's coincidental placement of the camera, honest! Not literally everything is wank material just because there's a tid to be seen. I actually consider Melissa Roux/MRX to be a 'normal' character. She's intended as a singer/martial artist but I gotta model everything anyway else I won't be able to have a full clothes set and modular body/limb replacement sets. That other mono-eye robot I designed for a friend, though? That's way over on the lewd side and I'd never say otherwise. And yeah I'm currently working out what would be the best way to build a plate to fit over that joint. I've got an idea I'm testing at the moment, but failing that I might just go the Ingram approach of covering it with a cloth in the backside.
