setting aside that this implies that Twitter is probably artificial too (since that's just the perfect medium design for controlling people, apparently), this implies standard operating procedure. I've been on one such mod list and seen it unfold (for an ARG) and it's easy as hell if you have the doods and patience, clearly, just by being insufferably whiny and justifying everything you do with paint-by-numbers PC bullshit

i know SA has this "overmoderation equals revenue" thing as a convenient smokescreen for this crap but come the gently caress on. this place used to have torrents and userporn and rivers of dead racist baby blood and now it's groupthinky as hell and you get banned for saying tranny wrong or whatever. it's a means of control and we can all loving see it

hypothetically, if you were somehow made to know with certainty that SA was in fact 100% sincere and not materially influenced by state actors, would it make you pleasantly surprised that the government was sufficiently inept as to ignore an obvious route for exerting influence, or depressed/angry that so many people were willing to so freely collaborate with The Man?
