There's a lot of really good stuff there, going by the TV shows based on those manga, or a third work (usually a light novel) as a source.

Quick question re: Comixology in case anyone here might know: A couple Image comics in my wishlist are suddenly showing a crossed out price with a lower price beside it; however, it doesn't look like Image is having any sales right now. Does anyone know what might cause this? Does Comixology hold secret sales or something?

(And just to maintain my gimmick) 2000AD is having a sale, which includes some of their digital collections: https://account.rebellion.co.uk/2000ad/products/category/8

Which Image comics?

Looks like both Pride & Joy and Rifle Brigade. Interestingly, none of the other Image comics I keep an eye on seem to have dropped in price. Is it just a run-of-the-mill price reduction that I've simply never noticed before? I did check the Recently Reduced! section and didn't spot them.

The sale lasts until next year, so I'd wait a bit in case we get a Marvel BOGO promo in the next two weeks.

Paul Dini's Autobiography Dark Night, Sheriff of Babylon, Midnighter, Omega Men, Twilight Children, Unfollow and Prez are the most interesting comics there.

Is it possible to get the full Annihilation Saga (Abnett/Lanning) experience from the Marvel sale? "TPBs" of Annihilation Vols 1-3, Annihiliation: Conquest: 1 and 2, The War of Kings, Realm of Kings, The Thanos Imperative? Or is missing their GotG too much? Just the Annihilation books a good buy?

Also, should I pick up all or some of the Miller Daredevil omnibus editions? (The ones with Miller and Janson, I have the Miller and Mazz books.)

Get The Omega Men, you'll start off about as disoriented as Green Lantern Kyle Rayner is in the beginning but that's intentional.

Missing GotG/Nova will diminish this experience quite a bit, but the first Annihilation is probably the best of the events anyway and predates either ongoing so get those at least.

Agreeing with this. As an aside that's easily the best GotG and Nova runs too. I recommend reading them all at some point.

Wonder Woman Earth One? Sorry, that isn't that good.

I'd say Azzarello's run, 2011-2016, volumes 1-6. I hear good things about Rucka's current "Rebirth" run, but haven't read it.

Teenage Fansub

George Perez's 1980's run is super classic. It was reintroducing her for DC's first reboot, so it's really nice and clean. I'd start there.
Azarello's New 52 gives a twist on everything you know about her world, so would good to go to after reading a few of those.

And Wonder Woman: Earth One is really good. Don't feel bad if you bought it.

Jill Thompson's Wonder Woman: The True Amazon is another graphic novel that came out last year. It focuses on WW growing from childhood to leaving the island. The art is amazing.

Had those ready from the Good Art thread.

Oh, that's unfortunate ._. Grabbed it without really looking too deeply into whether it was meant to be good or not because what little I had read about it sounded interesting and despite being super ignorant about comics generally I knew Grant Morrison was a "name" writer. Oh well! Wasn't very much money and is just one eh book so whatever.

Thank you for the recommendation. I'll give the first couple of volumes of that run a look and pick up the rest if I'm into it.

Oh cool, I'll grab Wonder Woman By George Perez Vol. 1 as well then.

And yeah, The True Amazon was something that caught my eye while I was looking through things earlier. That art is super pretty. I'll it into my cart too.

Between all of those I should have a pretty good sample of different eras and styles of Wonder Woman to get a taste of.

Thank you!
