What do you think the shopping is like on Cadia? Do they have outdoor malls? Can you have a walkable community while also defending against demons and whatever?

Cadia is like the loyalist version of the Iron Warrior daemon homeworld. Trenches and battlements everywhere. Everyone carries a mandatory 'purity meter' and if it beeps you are executed for heresy

OMG sriracha pudding! posted:What do you think the shopping is like on Cadia? Do they have outdoor malls? Can you have a walkable community while also defending against demons and whatever? Cadia is a fortress world, not a hive world. 40k planets are extremely specialized. I would expect to have the same amount of "community" as say, the Death Star. So like, there's probably a cafeteria and a military commissary, and other than that its just wall to wall military bases and hangars and turrets.

As I drew in my head and was turning around, Through the madness Perturabo came with a bound: He was dress'd all in metal, from his head to his foot, And his armour was tarnish'd with ashes and soot; Writhing mechandrites emerged from his back, A daemonic weapon and leering powerpack: His eyes how they burned! His hazard stripes: so many, His plates' copper trim like a really bad penny; His metallic skull was carved into a scowl, With a huge nest of cables in place of a cowl; A jaw full of bullets instead of his teeth, Exhaust smoke encircled his head like a wreath. He sprung to his dreadnought, to the drakes gave a whistle, Away they all flew, like a hellfire missile: But I heard him exclaim, 'fore my vision gave out - "Iron Within! And Iron Without!"

Am I loving high, or does the Tyranid codex severely lack beast units? Infantry should barely exist in it IMO. Also, MCs definitely need a method of movement more than 6" a turn. What units would be strong for closing up some of the holes left by GSC? I imagine Mawlocs are the ones that can sprout out of the ground and eat things, and I have one already, along with a Flyrant. Given GSC's utter lack of staying power and air power, MCs seem like the way to go. Which are decent? Fake edit: The GW-theme Christmas stuff is baller, all.
