The electoral college is bad, and complaining after the fact that you lost to it is also bad, because it makes you a sore loser. You should have said it was bad before the election began, loudly, or tried to do something to change it.

Shut up about the electoral college, the only not stupid thing said about it was by Joe at the beginning of this conversation and apparently you all decided not to read it. If you want to get rid of the electoral college, your only possible strategy is ignoring that until you get majorities in both houses of congress and the vast majority of states. Its a non starter unless the dems fix their poo poo first, and wanting to fix it specifically so the dems DONT have to fix their poo poo and can go on making GBS threads all over a huge chunk of the country isnt just stupd and harmful to your own professed cause, its pretty despicable. drat all these bad dems in here

bad dems would rather blame the EC than focus on reforming their party and getting rid of very bad leadership. They also want to block progressives from power since they are afraid of scaring off their wall street banker donor class.

The USA was founded and exists as a collection of states. As part of making it work, it was decided that the states should compromise on their relative levels of political power to put them all on a more even footing so that the rest of American history wasn't just a few of the biggest states overruling all over the rest. It's basically affirmative action for states that are underpowered. This is fine and works fine. The Democrats coming up with a political platform that can win an electoral college majority is relatively straightforward, has plenty of precedent and is totally within their power. Changing the electoral college is a laughable pipe dream on a whole bunch of levels. I don't even know how people are so dense about this poo poo. I feel grief.

Hillary is that awful loving boss that gives you a written warning over wearing tennis shoes on casual Friday and who says that there's no way to get a raise this year as if you don't know she's a crazy overpaid nepotism case who makes more in a month than you do all year. Changing the electoral college is a great long-term goal, but we have many other nigh-impossible herculean tasks to accomplish before it's at all feasible, and by the time it IS feasible we'll also be able to change all sorts of other poo poo that will more directly impact people's lives. What I'm getting at is that talking about it now is basically pointless.
