Being rich is not fine, at least not as rich as the ruling class currently is, their wealth is derived from the exploitation of others, see: Marx's Labor Theory of Value.

Well, they got that way by either directly taking advantage of or setting up a system that takes advantage of people who are not rich, so we don't disagree.

The idea of it being ok to be super wealthy as long as there aren't poor disenfranchised Americans is only possible if you're ok with the third world getting exploited even more than it currently is to make sure the super wealthy in America don't have to give up their 5th vacation home to pay their workers fairly.

It's probably possible to be super wealthy without there being poor and disenfranchised anyone, we have a lot of production capacity and we're only gonna have more as time goes by because it's often cheaper to exploit robot machines than poor people and it's okay to exploit robots. But even then there'd have to be a lot less super wealthy people and a lot of people are well beyond super wealthy and the super wealthy still represent a political threat in the form of wealth doubling as accrued power so its not really desireable.

honestly at this point our goal should be to continue to lean on ellison for populist, anti-establishment support and continue asking wtf while still supporting him as DNC chair, cause he's a gently caress of a lot better than our alternatives yet we can still lean on him, and lean on him we should.

remember. always lean. it's ultimately a balancing act between realism and idealism, and you have to always be tipping the scales.

Actually, it was due to memory lapses brought on by his wife Kim's multiple sclerosis, which makes the line of attack that much more pernicious.

I agree, I think that starts with purging the party of neoliberals and returning to being focused on labor and the working class/working poor, once the party has the freedom to vilify the rich and run on (actual) economic populism it'll be incredibly easy to rally voters.
