This is a pretty ubiquitous thing. Usually the pretzels aren't the gigantic and thin kind like that and they usually have almonds or somesuch on top but it's not really an unusual thing

Why should England be ashamed? It's not like they invented vinegar in food. Top fish and chips treatment: Start with a spray of vinegar from a trigger pack spray bottle, grind some salt on top and from there use dipping sauces. Tartare, sweet chilli sauce, home made nuoc cham.
