Plan was:

1. Get rid of arrow (because it's what tied Jeanne to the river and prevented her from being taken to the Ether)
2. Have Annie take Jeanne into the Ether

Presumably, they still want to do 2, but weren't expecting the removal of the arrow to elicit the response it did. I'm expecting they'll find some way to talk her down...but something bad'll probably happen first.

I'm not sure they can get the gently caress out now; she can follow them wherever they go and after she kills them she can just go anywhere she wants and kill as many other people as she pleases.

That's a distinct possibility but it seems like Kat did some off screen research on how the arrow works so I don't think they'd have done this is that was the case. I mean they might have made a mistake for sure but I think the idea is that they did their homework at least on what it'd take to drag Jeanne to the ether. Then again maybe the plan was to set her free and then try to reason with her now that she can actually escape her situation.

Jeanne is having to roll concentration checks like crazy right now. Is that because she's melting? The arrow is gone, so Jeanne's soul is finally actually melting into the ether?

If she's fighting against natural death now, be prepared for a scene like that where Annie helped a burned boy accept his fate and stop resisting crossing over.
