Is 'not being able to have more than one mission at a time' also counted as interface poo poo?

RareAcumen posted:Is 'not being able to have more than one mission at a time' also counted as interface poo poo? You can have several missions at a time with only one being active, but only one Hunt on your list of missions. The hunts thing is a bit of an odd case because the notion behind it is sound; hunts trigger enemy spawn changes of which some are mutually exclusive so it makes sense to only have one at a time. What is bullshit however, is that there is no central repository in a world in which there is a central hunting society. Honestly hunts would also need to be changed more fundamentally in order to really be not annoying but there absolutely should be a way to know at all times what diners have what hunts available.

Honestly the best way around the stupid "one hunt at a time" garbage is (and it still isn't foolproof) -Rest at the Winnebego or motel or whatever near a diner. -Look at the locations on the hunts, pick one that shows up multiple times (probably 25% of them do that). -Drive to that location, kick some rear end. -Fast travel to last rest point, cash in and select another hunt. -Fast travel to car, kick more rear end. It's really not perfect, and hopefully it doesn't cross loading zones... The downside of that is that Gladio doesn't learn to pick up the larger, better bottles of poo poo laying around as fast as he would if you ran around like an idiot (like I did for the first couple hours), and he just picks up tiny useless bottles of potions and junk.

JT Jag posted:The only thing that saved them from this happening is that I'm pretty sure that when a hunt is active, all other monsters in the designated area clear out. This is definitely not the case considering I have been repeatedly ambushed by daemons (and other things) at night while on monster hunting quests. Fedule posted:You can have several missions at a time with only one being active, but only one Hunt on your list of missions. Best way I think would be having the monster hunt accepting list be a phone app (in-game I mean) but you get quests from the tipsters like you do the various other map locations. That way it keeps the tipsters relevant and worth visiting in that respect, while allowing you to accept and turn in the quests at will which is at close as you can get to accepting multiple quests considering the overlapping spawns.

This month's challenge: Mineside Mischief Makers. These goblins might be a tough battle, but the harder part is finding them at night! If you succeed take a photo of the victory (include the weapon in the shot to confirm you didn't use a Summon: Genie) and mail it to: Monthly Challenge Chocobo Power Hammerhead Station, Lucis Three correct entries will be chosen and featured in next month's issue of Chocobo Power.

Square is not good at dealing with problem people high in the hierarchy. Nomura is in charge of KH3 now I believe.

The Kingdom Hearts series is basically Nomura's corner of the Square Enix franchises so, sure. It's up for debate whether what he does with KH3 will be painful or not.

Scaramouche posted:Yeah this, and that it was barely uniform between characters. The muscle guy had just a vest and the twitchy guy had weird pants with no ankle. And that somehow this was a uniform passed down from on high, and what you can extrapolate about the organization that requires such a uniform. Which ends in the King being the lead singer from Linkin Park, or possibly Korn. Maybe it's like the British were, and you have to buy your own uniform. So they all saw "black, leather" and stopped reading. Then the king sent them out into the desert to die in them because who needs a proper desert uniform, we got a wall. Also I'd probably consider watching a FF15 musical, rather than a movie and some anime.

When the FFXIV staff reshuffle happened, the original Producer of FFXIV (Hiromichi Tanaka) was forced out of the company and the original director (Nobuaki Komoto) was demoted to lead designer position for A Realm Reborn. I think Naoki Yoshida did a good job in restructuring the team in that he had people take on more specialist roles and created new positions which weren't there before. KH3 is being developed in SE Osaka with oversight from SE's headquarters in Tokyo. The actual day-to-day development is headed by co-director Tai Yasui. SE Osaka developed the Kingdom Hearts spin-offs and remakes since the original Kingdom Hearts team was working on Versus XIII for six years. It's likely the same situation with the FF7 remake. The game is being developed by Cyberconnect2 with SE in charge of major creative decisions and publishing. It's likely that Nomura and Kitase teleconference with the development team or drop in occasionally to give their input rather than work on-site. This isn't an unusual arrangement for Square-Enix. FF Type-0/Neir Automata/World of Final Fantasy were developed by a partner studio with SE staff leading development. I wouldn't be surprised if a Cyberconnect2 employee is a co-director of the FF7 remake and in charge of day-to-day development.

oath2order posted:You can pretty much pinpoint it as the moment SE began ever so slowly correcting course, a process that is still ongoing. I'd speculate the magic point was a bit before that, at the moment that interview was published in which Square Enix made the fateful comment about there being enough content cut from FFXIII to make a whole other game - a comment that betrayed a staggering lack of direction - at which point a lot of higher ups suddenly sat up and thought "what the gently caress are we doing", and began the soul-searching that would create the mindset that would later react to the implosion of FFXIV by throwing the whole thing on a fire. Remember that by 2011 this needed to have progressed to the point where Lightning Returns could be proposed and greenlit.

If you had told Ignis you'll drive, you get manual control for a little bit until he says "hold off until you know the area better". If you tell him to drive you can't manual at all. In either case you get control back around chapter 3.

In defense of the game, I have met clingy cats. ...As in it has repeatedly attempted to get in my (dog-filled) house when all I have done is pet it. Sweet cat, but no sense of self-preservation. And there's also that cat body language is innately more aloof-seeming even when they are being very clingy. Just a very different animal to read than a dog. I mean, don't get me wrong, they're still tiny furry assholes (that I love (and tbh dogs are also furry assholes that I love)), they just are way more social than most people give them credit for due to their body language. Less animal-related: is there a "shut the gently caress up Prompto" button? Cause every time he speaks he gets more annoying.
