Are they seriously trying to sell those marvel ultimate alliance games for $40 a pop.

I mean I thought they were fun games but the first one was literally a PS3 launch title

Nahh it's more modern in the sense that you can't really lose the game. You just won't progress any further until you solve the puzzles. It's nothing groundbreaking at all but the story is charming enough and I never felt like it was a waste of money.

It doesn't hurt at all that it's more or less narrated by Christopher Loyd.

Well, that aligns with the vibes I was getting. Which was, like, "normal" kinda vibes.

Does the reboot also have thousands of ways to die, or did they realize how terrible that was in the old ones?

You can die, but it just results in Christopher Lloyd saying a pun and the game putting you right back before the mistake. The only place you even need to think about your saves in episode 2, because it has an interesting premise that you'll want to play with and not start over from the beginning. It'll make sense if/when you get there.

Who's dumb rear end idea was it to only allow you to restore your save game data if the game is installed on the PS4?

My ps+ expires tomorrow, so of course I'd install my new hard drive and only back up my saves to the cloud. I'm now installing every game I ever owned just so I can restore save files.

can you really not just go to the memory management menu and download whatever?

I just tried and was able to download a cloud save for a game I didn't have installed.

Also pro tip - download the save file after you've downloaded the game but before opening it for the first time. Otherwise it overwrites the cloud save with an empty file. There's no version control set up and the local console always wins. I replaced a stolen PS4 and learned this the hard way with Rock Smith. Goodbye, 50+ hours of progress.

Anyone saying that King's Quest is good if you like the older games has clearly never played a King's Quest game, because the re/make/boot/whatever is much, much better than any old King's Quest ever was, in puzzle design, humor, charm, and literally everything else.

It's legit great, much better than any Telltale bar Borderlands or Batman, and has actual puzzles.

If they did take money from the Homestuck game (Which, mind you, is a conspiracy theory roughly on the level of "pizzagate") then that's just icing.

This is possible in most Sierra adventure games to the point there's a term for it like walking zombie syndrome. You're probably thinking of King's Quest V since an essential puzzle at the endgame requires an action at the very beginning which is almost impossible to do without knowing about it in advance, because you have to prevent something which looks like a random event (a hawk kills a rodent on your second town visit, you have to set a trap on your first visit when there's zero indication that there is a hawk or rodent)

Leisure suit Larry 2 had a no return point mid way through the game that wouldn't be obvious till the end of the game!

Honestly I wonder how well the KQ reboot did financially since I literally never see it brought up outside of the context of Homestuck on these forums. It feels like a shaggy dog story to steal money for a flop.

Every old Sierra game I can think of has at least one item you need from the beginning or middle that you have no way of knowing you'll need, and in many cases, no way of knowing it exists. (Glass shard, I'm looking at you)

e: Also, the "TOG stole money from Homestuck" theory is just that, an unsubstantiated theory that is over a year old and that literally nobody with any authority on the subject has weighed in on.

I'm married to Manyak aka Applewhite, aka FACTSAREUSELESS the head administrator of SomethingAwful forums who's dad pushes drugs from here, namely research chemicals and things in a legal grey area like steroids, or designer drugs:

Here's a picture of him trying to look more gooney than usual:

Recently I faked being suicidal at the age of 27 to grift a brain damaged guy's 20 thousand dollar government awarded victim compensation money from a violent attempted murder. Little did he know, I also used my 1337 underground darknet connections to schedule the carjacking that lead to the brain damage in the first place!!! h3h3 internet drug dealing is really c00l ;-)

I also scam the government into paying me welfare and a disability pension for various made up mental illnesses. So far i've been diagnosed with schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar, and anti social personality disorder.

This is because I'm heir to a small criminal fortune from tax evading Aryan Brotherhood in Southern Ontario, this is also why I'm the perfect match for Manyak as both our families deal drugs and are fine employing violence and terror to make a profit.

They made me gently caress and kill a billy goat in poland for my fertility ceremony which is traditional in the pagan religion I've been brought up in.

I've also been implicated in the vehicular manslaughter of a more honest SA rival Courtney Vanessa Arthur, which is detailed here:
