Are they seriously trying to sell those marvel ultimate alliance games for $40 a pop. I mean I thought they were fun games but the first one was literally a PS3 launch title

Nostalgia4Ass posted:Nahh it's more modern in the sense that you can't really lose the game. You just won't progress any further until you solve the puzzles. It's nothing groundbreaking at all but the story is charming enough and I never felt like it was a waste of money. It doesn't hurt at all that it's more or less narrated by Christopher Loyd.

Dewgy posted:Does the reboot also have thousands of ways to die, or did they realize how terrible that was in the old ones? You can die, but it just results in Christopher Lloyd saying a pun and the game putting you right back before the mistake. The only place you even need to think about your saves in episode 2, because it has an interesting premise that you'll want to play with and not start over from the beginning. It'll make sense if/when you get there.

I just tried and was able to download a cloud save for a game I didn't have installed.

Also pro tip - download the save file after you've downloaded the game but before opening it for the first time. Otherwise it overwrites the cloud save with an empty file. There's no version control set up and the local console always wins. I replaced a stolen PS4 and learned this the hard way with Rock Smith. Goodbye, 50+ hours of progress.

Anyone saying that King's Quest is good if you like the older games has clearly never played a King's Quest game, because the re/make/boot/whatever is much, much better than any old King's Quest ever was, in puzzle design, humor, charm, and literally everything else. It's legit great, much better than any Telltale bar Borderlands or Batman, and has actual puzzles. If they did take money from the Homestuck game (Which, mind you, is a conspiracy theory roughly on the level of "pizzagate") then that's just icing.

You're probably thinking of King's Quest V since an essential puzzle at the endgame requires an action at the very beginning which is almost impossible to do without knowing about it in advance, because you have to prevent something which looks like a random event (a hawk kills a rodent on your second town visit, you have to set a trap on your first visit when there's zero indication that there is a hawk or rodent)

Every old Sierra game I can think of has at least one item you need from the beginning or middle that you have no way of knowing you'll need, and in many cases, no way of knowing it exists. (Glass shard, I'm looking at you) e: Also, the "TOG stole money from Homestuck" theory is just that, an unsubstantiated theory that is over a year old and that literally nobody with any authority on the subject has weighed in on. precision fucked around with this message at 20:16 on Dec 26, 2016 |

I love it when people say it's well known that there are drug lords and drug selling happening on SA. Because I mean, if anyone would know about that, I'd think I would. I'll just buy my drugs the old fashioned way, at the legal dispensary down the block.
