I didn't see the big photos so I didn't see the Ontario plate, but I think the chock is just his parking curb. Also, onterrible plate with no rust

slidebite posted:First thing I do on a kijiji search is filter out dealer results. I don't even want to look at them. Kijiji did a good job with dealers by limiting the # of automotive FS ads for free accounts. I think 2? It seems to work well and there are rarely dealer ads in the for sale by owner results. Of course a lot of FS stuff around here has moved to facebook and I'd take a million loving keywords over the poo poo that gets posted in local groups.

It mostly really sucks. But it can be useful if you are looking for specific parts, and usually there is a local make-specific group to sell stuff on. I've offloaded a lot of BMW parts that I tried for years to sell on kijiji. And we've gotten a lot of parts for honda race car via FB. But mostly it's really loving bad and if you're trying to sell a car you'll just get a million lovely trade offers.

I see most of you have not owned a lebaron or you would not be so critical. Those leather seats are so comfy. The car also talks to you. Teslas don't even do that. I still miss the one I paid some old lady $1,000 for in 1995. Too bad it just stopped starting for no repairable reason.

http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/cto/5934110830.html This one is pretty great - definitely a case of the, I'm going to price it sky-high so I never ever sell it. My mom had one of these when I was a kid, was pretty drat awesome in the snow but I recall it being a bit of a slow shitbox. No way she paid even close to $7,000 when she had it in the mid 90's. Got t-boned real bad by a big rear end van, car was completely destroyed beyond recognition, but we both survived with minor injuries. The best part of the ad is that he wants MORE money for the spare engine. Complete insanity.

The quote I saved from this discussion last time was "If a craigslist seller says "no rust", there's surface rust. if they say "surface rust" there's a fist sized hole somewhere." I forgot to save WHO said it though.

My Grandfather has an '85 GL-10 nearing the end-it's rotting pretty badly. Even in perfect condition I wouldn't pay over $3000 for it. It's just a weird less reliable Corolla.
