The only thing I liked/didn't like/ laughed about, was that I didn't know about the falling until a goblin punched noctis and knocked him down one.
Then I found it really loving funny instead.

Kinda. The addition of the dodge helps a lot. You still have an evasive roll but the dodge sets up counters better.

I actually liked the rhythm of the fighting with different combo patterns and counters in witcher 1, it feels like a proto-Arkham Asylum tho not nearly as polished or visceral. FFXV is actually latest in a line of games that borrows some of that attack pattern but without the button timing for boosted damage e: and with a whole bunch of other poo poo layered on around it obviously.

I also like the restriction of needing to think ahead about your potion use (somewhat, wasn't really required but made life easier). In that sense, being able to hot swap my whole party's weapons and magic in the middle of battle feels a bit cheap to me in FFXV. You're locked into your armour but I feel like the game would flow better if I wasn't tempted to start each battle by dicking around in my inventory screen.

I'm also the person who likes that you can't use potions mid battle in LR and have an extremely limited inventory.

I don't think there's anything homophobic about it...? I react similarly to massages, I think it's just a goofy moment showing how high strung Noctis is that he can't even take a massage at a beach resort.

I hope something on their agenda is to patch some poo poo to do into altissa.

I thought it would be fun and was genuinely excited in the cutscene.

And then I got there.

Also for those wanting to know, if you beat the justice monsters 5 with 99 chests, the lord vexos wind up gives 60 of the top level of a spell, (there is a level about the -aga's) it also sells for 500k, the first time I sold it before I could check the spell situation.

Sometimes, in a city this dirty, you need a real hero.
So, in regards to leveling up and getting stronger. What's the most important thing? Experience to actually level up or ap for all of the abilities and whatnot?

I keep finding it difficult to fight groups of enemies because its hard to see the telegraphs for all of the attacks to dodge then, so I figure leveling up would give me higher hp at least.

AP is more important. The best way to raise your HP is by equipping accessories, which you get more slots for by buying them with AP, and eating food.

Noct doesn't like being touched, you can see him shy away from physical contact constantly. People will pat him on the back and he'll immediately step away and push their hands off.

Also download the free holiday pack and use the Nixperience Band every loving time you camp. Actually you should wear it all the time so you never waste any XP on camps and chapter endings and only level up on Galdin Quay for that sweet double XP bonus.

You can probably stockpile XP and just do 3 big jumps (1 to 30, 30 to 50, 50 to 99) once you have the right amount of experience and completely breeze through the game.

It stops you from tallying XP, not from gaining it. So you can also just use it to bank your points and then cash them in all at once at the Galdin Quay or Altissia hotels.

Post-game has a very steep curve. If you're like me and wrapped the main story up in your mid-forties without ever having grinded levels, a lot of content ranging from lv.40-100 will open up all at once. It helps to jump a couple dozen levels in Ch.15 to have access to more stuff.

Doing all the side quests in chapter 3 whenever available will get you to around 50 if you use most of it on Galdin. Takes a good chunk to hit max level and rare coins are rare. If you can bank all the game's XP and only use it on Galdin and Altissia the amount of grinding needed to hit 99 would be pretty minimal. Especially since a bunch of chapters are on-rails and pretty much back to back you end up getting some XP then immediately using it up with no multiplier at all.

Once I get my platinum I'll probably start up another game to dick around with at low levels until I can make huge XP dumps.

That said, the AP grind is stupid and the ascension grid is dumb with some really stupid requirements.
