I need to gird my loins and finish the damned thing. It's amazing how well they captured the original "move or die" feeling of the game, and I like the added treasure hunt goals and "kill everything" achievement/bonuses. I don't think he plans on dancing on the man's grave, but he doesn't count George Michael's death on the wall sized list of "why 2016 sucks" And I don't really either. Even when I talked to family that liked him back in the day, it was more a feeling of apathy than sadness

It's pretty clear that I have no idea who he was outside of his music so.... I'm sure it was a loss for those that knew him, it's no loss for music as far as I care and it's not for me another gently caress 2016 reason at all. Now if Rupert Murdoch died, I *would* be ready to dance on that rear end in a top hat's grave.

There's a continuum between "dancing on his grave" and "having a bit of compassion." "His music sucked and I'm not sad that he's dead" is closer to one end than the other... that's all I'm saying. Santa brought my son the Lego Porsche 911 GT3 RS. I'm surprised at how big that damned thing is. I didn't realize it was 1:8 scale! The packaging and presentation of the box, components and manual is top-rate, too. Pricey kit, but looks to be worth it. meatpimp fucked around with this message at 14:59 on Dec 26, 2016 |

The man had a knack for writing super smooth pop songs and a great voice. Every song of his sounds like everything around you is suddenly super expensive and luxurious. And honestly, can you say with a straight face that Last Christmas isn't one hell of a pop song? Sure, it's saccharine and simple-minded, and it's been overplayed to death over the last 30 years, but that's only because it's got a drat good hook and melody. If nothing else, remember the man for helping inspire countless homosexuals to finally gather up the courage to come out to their friends and families. Listening to my girlfriends grandfather tell war stories from WW2. He said his old brother served with Jimmy Stewart, who was their executive officer. They said executive officers were usually disliked because they would pick and choose which missions to go on, he said Jimmy Stewart was the same except he only chose the hard ones. Which I thought was neat. Respect.

Since the ECU/Wiring thread is relegated to the archives I was wondering what is the best option for tuning via the OBDII port? Most of the make specific packages seem a bit hokey to be honest such as: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/scl-4332 I would combine that with an SCT X4 to flash the ECU. The amount of proprietary hoops SCT makes you jump through (VIN locking, limit on how many custom maps can be uploaded) leaves a sour taste in my mouth so I was looking for an alternative. Is there anything out there similar to http://www.openecu.org/index.php?title=EcuFlash ? I really like the idea of tuning via OpenPort but it seems very Mitsu/Subie specific and in this case I'd be working on some form of a 99-07 Ford Focus using the 2.0L Zetec or 2.3L Duratec. This is strictly a hobby project to learn more about programming EFI systems. Any insight is appreciated.

Hptuners has been my go to for GM vehicles. It doesn't support a focus that old, however. That may be your problem period, if it's not a vehicle people frequently dyno tune for more power, there may not be software available to do it. In that case you need to use an aftermarket engine control unit, most people just go to megasquirt/spark.

Well, not letting my dad near a full bottle of whiskey again. Like serious, if he's coming round I'll have a quarter-bottle easy to get to and anything else hidden. Doesn't even matter what it is I'm not being responsible for him getting that drunk again. Aaaaand I'm going to have a good think about my drinking to make sure I don't get there in my future.

Take your time and drink for the flavor, not the buzz. When you start not caring about the taste, that's when you have a problem. And never drink on an empty stomach. I generally limit myself to an absolute maximum of one beer/one dram/one restrained glass of wine per day, and I shy away completely for some days on either side of a night on the town or other event where I consume a larger volume of alcohol. I lost both of my grandparents on my mother's side to alcoholism, so I'm extremely aware of my own limits. * As in one (1) dram, and one (1) dram only. No cheating. Hilarious update: so my younger brother and his wife, my mum, and dad are all staying over, dad got turbo pissed on good whiskey and drunkenly tried to confess to not being perfect, being a bad father, and as a bonus having cheated on my mum before I was born. Mum had already gone to bed and I've heard it all before. Little brother is crushed. Hungover dad has now promised to quit drinking after mum sat him down and had a quiet chat. Dumbass here bought him a nice Auchentoshan and glasses for Christmas. E: those glasses pictured actually, they're quite nice.
