How the hell is all the art in this game so half assed and disproportionate and yet there's a really well done CG like this?? :psyduck: If they put in just a little more effort, the whole thing could have looked much more polished.

Voice acting doesn't make too great of money, so not surprised they'd voice these indie projects if someone ponies up the cash.

But I have to agree, they could've focused more on QoL features

Sounds good to me, unless the OP figured another particular route would be more entertaining/less ball busting to go with.

Robot girl would be what they think we expect, so my old worthless bus token bet is on cyber zombie.

Nah, meditation is tied to a different event and has nothing to do with Rena's path. Rena does give you something nice just nothing as particularly great as that.

Mysticblade
Oct 22, 2012

We may have been awful at everything but we pulled through. Sure, we couldn't read, wore a trash bag everywhere and were quite unpopular but we did it.

Now we need to pick a specialisation for next route.

You've seen this before but if you don't remember, vote for one of the five categories and I'll try to focus on that stat and move us more towards those characters. We went Art last time and didn't really talk to Rena/Yui that much but maybe that'll change with an actual Lit stat.

Who knows?

Literature

No changes here. Kiku is still probably too difficult for us and would end with a failed loop. We did exceed expectations last time but I'm the type to play conservatively.

Rena's not too bad. She's apparently Lit + Art and Art is quite easy to raise. She was my first route ever completed actually. We can do this.

Yui is a little difficult to get her to warm up to us. But we can do it, we'll just need to set a few days aside to go to the park until we get her number.

Overall, we have something we can do here. And hey, going from straight F's to a good mark will be interesting.

Science

No change here either. If we can get Alice's ending, we can easily get Aya's. I mean, would you really want to though?

To get Suzu to warm up to us, we just kinda need to hammer in Science. I don't remember too many specifics of doing her route but I doubt it'll be too difficult, medium difficulty at worse.

Kazuki is a bit more complex with him expecting some Sport/Popularity out of you. It could be a little tricky but it's sort of like an easier Hiroshi route, I suppose.

Art

Once you've gotten someone's ending, you can't see it again on that save. On one hand, you can't see some of the really good endings again. But it's also really nice since it means you can hang out with everyone without worrying that you're doing Alice's route for the 10th time.

I've mentioned these two earlier. Check the Lit section if you've already forgotten.

Sport

Blargh.

I've mentioned Kiku and Aya earlier in this post. Check the Lit and Science sections respectively.

Hiroshi would be hella difficult and probably a reset. His requirements are basically the same as Kiku but instead of keeping up with Lit, you have juggle a few relationships, stop some from going too high to make sure others don't go too low. The relationship between the characters doesn't often come into play but I found it important during Hiroshi's route.

Popularity

Trash bag man doesn't really count as fashionable. This is still kind of a category for "where do I put Naoko".

In practice, this would be me trying to keep everything up to a C at least until we pick someone to go after.

???

No, Satsuko doesn't have a route. It's okay, we'll get to hang out with her anyway.

Kasumi's death can't be prevented until much later. So until we can stop that, we can't do this route.

Our 5 categories are Lit, Science, Art, Music, Popularity. Pick one on the poll. That's the only way your vote will be counted.

If we got an ending last time, we can probably pull off something this time. Unless we're going for Hiroshi/Kiku. Then I'll be surprised if we pull off anything.

Vote here.

I'm looking forward to a new Goon in a new year.

This turned out a hell of a lot more one sided than the loop 2 vote. 20 out of 27 votes have gone to Science. Don't think I need to delay any further, Goon shall be a scientist.

For Loop 2's vote turn out, it was 12 Art, 10 Science, 5 Pop, 3 Lit, 2 Sport with 32 overall.

Here we have 20 for Science, 4 Lit, 2 Sports, 1 Pop and 0 Art from a pool of 27. That seems like a pretty clear winner to me.

I hadn't actually realised :science: did so well in the first poll but I should've really expected that.

Darn, i missed the vote! I guess I would have voted for Science or popularity anyway. I'm all in for avoiding Aya's route, I'm guessing she doesn't get more likable when you start spending time with her? Great LP here, keep up the good work! Last time, we finished up Alice's ending.

This whole little scene happens after every loop. Let's skip ahead to the text.

: Is-satsu, ni-satsu, san-satsu...

I just can't believe this is happening to me...

: I think after she graduates, she's going to be just fine.

: Most certainly.

: And it's all thanks to you.

: Heh, I tried!

: I can tell! Keep it up and you'll be just fine. But in the meantime... Get dressed! It's Golden Week.

: Oh... right.

And that's the last point of XP in Alice's ending. There was quite a bit of XP in that route, wasn't there?

Well, here we are again.

I hadn't shown this off but here's what we looked like at the same point last loop. We're a little better off now.

I also grabbed us that determined quirk. Should mean we aren't too late to dates and that'll certainly make me feel better.

Friday, May 6

Game: You quickly dress in some clean clothes and head out.

Meh. This scene doesn't change too much. Goon can now regularly remember this event so it'll be triggered every loop.

Skipping ahead a bit, we said hanging out with friends was our favourite after school activity, having friends in high school is most important, we make something for someone to impress them, we'd want something useful for a gift and friends/family are the most important things in life.

With that, we've given every option in that quiz. I forgot that this quiz was on so I didn't ask the thread for responses, sorry. I'll ask next loop.

The new thing seems to be here...

: Did you lose the page with results?

: NO.

: Okay, what's my results then?

: Er...

Boom. A point of XP for knowing the page is gone. Aside from that, there's no changes here.

Every time I remember Aya's route has to be done for the Golden ending, my will to play this game dies a little bit.

It's not a bad ending but it involves hanging out with Aya and ugh...

Oh yeah. At the moment, we are currently middle of the road for fashion! We're not trash bag Goon with his 3 Fashion and 99 Art.

Monday, May 9

: I got scared... I mean, I've never had tea with a tiger before...

: Hmm...

: I really don't know...

: What are you babbling about now, Rena?

: What a neat story.

: Oh, is this a new friend of yours, Aya?

: Yeah! This is Lorde Goon. He's finally come to school after being sick!

: Nice to meet you, Lorde. I'm Ogawa Naoko.

: And I'm Sakuragi Rena!

: Nice to meet you both.

: Rena was just telling me about something that happened to her last night...

: Yeah, a noise woke me up last night. It turns out there was a tiger drinking tea in my room!

: What? How is that possible?

I'm not really a big fan of these whole "oh you just got here, let me regurgitate the conversation again" moments.

: I'm sorry to say I got scared and ran away... I bet I hurt his feelings...

: It's okay, Rena. Don't worry about it.

: Yeah, don't worry because it didn't actually happen.

: It did too!

Ouch.

: Oh...

: Aya!

: I wonder if I'll ever get to have tea with a tiger.

: I try to keep an open mind about things like this.

We did fight Undead Mozart and his horde of zombies last run. Best to prepare for weird.

: That sounds great.

: Teehee, you can see great things if you know where to look.

: I see.

: You know, I bet tea-flavoured biscuits would taste great.

: Yay!

: Tea-flavoured biscuits?

: Naoko's a terrific chef, Lorde. If you get on her good side, maybe she'll start making you lunches!

: Aya...

: You like to cook?

: Aww, now I'm hungry... Let's go run to the cafeteria before class, Naoko!

: Okay. It was nice meeting you, Lorde!

: Nice meeting you girls, too!

3 people met, 7 left to go.

Scratch Kiku off that list. We met her again but the event's same.

Wednesday, May 18

: Oh, hello, Aya.

: Hello.

Sorry, I picked the wrong option.

: Oh, I heard you were dead. Good to see that's the not the case, though. I'm Hiroshi, by the way. Sakuragi Hiroshi.

: Hiroshi's a grade ahead of us.

: Oh, cool.

: Hiroshi is pretty amazing, Lorde. He was just telling me about all the advanced courses he's taking this year. It's really amazing that you can do all that AND be in lots of clubs!

: Five advanced classes? You must study all the time...

: Not really, I just excel in every subject. Besides, girls dig that kind of stuff.

: Really?

Having high stats will make people warm up to much more easily. End game Goon will be getting confessions from people every month.

: Take notes, Lorde, because this is valuable information.

: Uh, I'll keep that in mind.

: If you do, you'll stop being such a failure. I mean, missing the first three-and-a-half weeks of school?

: Yeah, Lorde, what was that?

: I was sick. You both know that.

: No excuse. You should tough through it.

"I'm dead, I can't come in."

"No excuse. Walk it off."

: But to be honest, I would have skipped too, Hiroshi.

: Isn't that right?

: Somehow, I doubt that.

I'm not sure if I was randomly picking options or not. Bit hard to tell in retrospect.

: You don't know ANYTHING about me, Lorde, so don't even pretend.

You would be surprised...

: Uh, sure.

: Oh, look at the time. There's a student council meeting I have to get to. Nice meeting you, Lorde. I'll see you around.

: Bye Hiroshi!!

: Wow, that's amazing, Lorde.

: What is?

: It looks like Hiroshi wants to take you under his wing.

: I didn't know I needed help...

You do. But that's Satsuko's job.

: Okay...

I'm probably just tired of dealing with Aya.

: I can't believe him and Rena are related...

5 more to meet.

Wednesday, May 25

: No, not yet.

: That's surprising. She's kind of annoying, so I figured she's probably gotten in your face by now.

: Well, she hasn't.

: HEY! What the hell?!

: Haha, bet you never saw that coming!

: What the hell was that for?!

: Just for fun!

: Now I'm gonna have to change!

Maybe it's because we're coming from a more serious Alice in her ending but this seems to be a bit of change, no?

: Grr, don't think you're going to get away with this.

: MAYBE!

: ...

: Speak of the devil. See? Didn't I tell you she's annoying?

: Who are you calling annoying?!

It's true, Aya can't really afford to call people annoying.

: Yeah, this is Lorde Goon. He was a loser and got sick and missed the first few weeks of school.

: Yes, I'm not as dead as people around here seem to think.

I picked the right answer!

: Haha, that's good. It's nice to meet you! I'm Avery Alice.

: Oh, hello.

: I told Lorde you just moved here.

: Yup! I'm new around here, so be nice!

: What made you move?

: Oh, I haven't really "moved" here. I'm doing an exchange program.

: Wow, I hope you like it here.

: You're certainly made yourself known here...

: What's that supposed to mean?

: Well, you're loud and obnoxious...

: Not any more than you are!

: I'm not loud OR obnoxious! And at least Hiroshi likes me!

: ...

: Hey Lorde, have you met Hiroshi yet?

: Yes, I have.

: Hmm, I wonder if he likes to get wet...

: Geez, why is everyone in this school so grouchy!

: It would be fine outside of school.

: You might get in trouble with the teachers.

I'm not sure where I'm going with any of this.

: I guess...

: Yeah, you would get mad if someone dumped water on you in school.

: But I'm not DUMPING water on anyone... it's just a tiny little squirt! What's the big deal?

: Hmm... I should remember that... That would totally surprise Kiku!

: Haha, I told you it's fun!

: Maybe it isn't such a bad idea after all... Just don't squirt ME anymore.

: Alright.

: Thanks.

: Heehee!

: Haha, nice one, Alice!

Noice.

: Haha, I thought so myself!

: Grr...

: *chuckle*

: Anyway, I'd love to stay and chat, but I've got to get to my music lessons.

: Music lessons?

: Alice is a whiz on the violin.

: It's what I love! I also play piano, and sing...

: Maybe we can go to Karaoke World sometime?

: Oh, I'd love to!

: Of course you would... She's always trying to get people to go there with her.

: You say that like it's a crime.

: Whatever... it's just that we're not all dorks like you!

: Oh, and I'm the dork, heh?

Hey, I also read...

Actually, I don't recall the last time I sat down and read some manga. ReLife is a web comic, does that count?

: Whatever!

: Anyway, I'll see you guys later!

Shoo, Aya.

4 more people to meet. But Kazuki and Suzu are going to take a while to meet, so it's more so meeting up with Kasumi and Yui.

Also we need to figure out what we're going to get next.

I guess we could go for T3 quirks.

8 XP for the next level of Intelligence, 6 for the other stats.

12 XP for Ambitious, the next level after Determined.
15 XP for Charmed, the next level after Lucky.
8 XP for Attentive. This is a T2 quirk.
20 XP for Encyclopaedic , the next level after Forgetful.

Feel free to post your opinions as to what we should grab next. We're probably not in pressing need of anything at the moment.

Holy poo poo we have a backbone now? :psyduck:

Let's also see how we get Robotics and Literature. Could we still go for Suzu if we get an F in first year science?

Attentive would make the panic timer go more slowly so that means less "let's poke her with a stick!".

I don't think we'd be able to pull ourselves up from an F in Science early on. Our Science would likely never recover since we've only got 4 Intelligence and no Meditation. We could probably do it if we had more Intelligence.

Just remember that I still haven't been able to confirm whether Robotics is linked to low or high Science. Best to just assume we'll never see it.

: Going to ask me to try out this year for swim team, Aya?

: Wow!

Not sure if any of these are good answers but I know psychic powers is a "no" with Aya.

: I will never tell!

Scene goes on as usual up to here.

We did have a full week of successes, but still, this is pretty good.

: Should I?

: Yeah, you seem like you'd be a great swimmer!

: I see.

Still no reason to say no. I wish we could join the ikebana club.

: Sure.

: Awesome!

Nice to be in the swim club so early. We had 15 Sports so it's good to know how much Sports we need to get in to the swim club in Year 1. It's about the same as a B from Yakumo's data.

We meet with Kasumi, nothing new there.

lookit us going fast whooosh

Here's us going... not so fast.

We meet Yui again, no changes.

Time's flying by but nothing too interesting is happening. I wanted to make sure we had a bit of breathing room with our stats and we also haven't met the minions yet. It'll be a bit dull until we meet them, probs.

I realise around this point our Fashion has gone down a lot. Science does nasty things to Fashion. And we couldn't keep Fashion up as an artist...

I feel like we've seen this loading screen before but these are rare enough to warrant a picture anyway.

Monday, July 11

: Oh, hey! Today's the day you come to school with me, right?

I'll take dealing with Satsuko over dealing with Aya. I miss Alice already.

: Yeah, let's get going.

: Yay! I can't wait!

: We'll be late if we don't get moving. Come on.

: Yes, sir!

No changes here, or at least nothing big enough I can notice. This is the final form of this leg of the event though. It feels too familiar. The deja vu in this game is bad enough normally but this isn't my first run...

The only difference between this event and last year's is the part with Yui. Let's skip ahead.

: Since I know she's coming this time, I can be ready for her.

: You look like you're about to tackle someone.

: Teehee, I'm just excited!

Game: ...

: Hmm, where is she...?

Game: ...

: Oh, hi! Hey there, Yui!

We're running damage control this time.

: Yui, this is Satsuko. I'm sorry she frightened you.

This point of XP is why I had to check the old updates to see what we had seen.

: I... it is... it is alright.

: We finally get to talk! What's up, Yui?

: Finally...?

: I've told Satsuko about you and she thought you seemed interesting.

: But I am not... that interesting.

: Aw, fiddlesticks! You're plenty interesting.

: Satsuko!

: Oops!

: Aww! It happened again.

: Yui just spooks easily. I wouldn't take it too seriously.

: I guess not.

: I'm glad you enjoyed it. Get home safe now, alright?

Don't let the zombie army bug you.

: Okay, Mother.

: And don't dawdle around in town on your way back, either.

: Now who is the guardian here? I can take care of myself, you know.

: Alright, alright...

No way to avoid that scene... It probably will be reduced to a footnote in future loops.

We have our marks back but hey, let's go check out the Amusement Park!

Saturday, July 16

Hmm... Well, here I am. I wonder if I'll run into anyone today.

...

...Why did I pick the Amusement Park again?

: Yo!

: Hey, Aya.

: Come stand in line with me, Lorde. It's totally jammed today. I was just about to give up on rides altogether until I saw you. At least I can talk to someone now.

That's just the equivalent of a C, I'll take it.

Game: Sakura Park looks pretty crowded today, and the lines for all the rides look long. There might be time for only one or two rides.

We pick the rollercoaster. I don't like Aya would be too fond of the other options and we may as well put this day to use.

After that, we fade over to the rollercoaster but uh, I forgot to get a screencap. We'll have chances to see it again later.

: I love roller coasters! The speed, the twisting, the turning upside down...

Now my stomach's turning upside down....

: Uh... me too...

: Hmm? You okay? You're looking a little green there.

: It's nothing.

: Alright...

: It's the greatest!

: You bet! It's my favouritest ride here!

: Do you want to ride it again?

: Nah, time for the next ride!

: Okay! So... what do you want to do next?

: See you around at school, Lorde, okay?

First goodbye was the one in the scene, the second goodbye was the one inherent to dates. Looks like they forgot about the farewell at the end of the date in the event's writing.

...? I knew I was missing some stuff but I thought it was the Merry-Go-Round and not this.

I can show off Gallery at some point but it's nothing too interesting.

Looks like that cut off for a B is around 15. Good to know.

Now then, we had some things to attend to...

Monday, July 18

Today is the day that Yui's going to get hit by that bus.

I should just leave on time and not cut class. I'll be fast enough to save her this time.

I don't want to get in trouble skipping class. I should just go afterwards.

Wait, we missed Hiroshi...

Game: You get to the road just in time to see Yui walking alongside it. You begin to hear the sound of the approaching bus, as she begins to cross the street.

We shout at her. I don't think we're fast enough to save her without dying.

Game: You wave your arms frantically while shouting at her from the sidewalk.

: Hey Yui! Watch out!

Game: At the sound of your voice, she stops walking and looks around in confusion. The bus is approaching fast. You hear a screech of the bus's brakes as it swerves to avoid her. The bus driver honks his horn angrily as he speeds by, shouting expletives about crazy kids getting in the way.

Whew!

I have never picked that option before. I'm surprised it works.

Game: You nearly gag as the smell of the burning rubber overwhelms you. When you look up, Yui is nowhere to be seen.

Game: You dust yourself off from the bizarre and terrifying encounter. You walk home, but your entire body is numb from the fright of the near-death experience and the bizarre disappearance.

There was a point of XP here all along? Can't believe I missed this in my first run.

: I did? So what happens now?

: That's wonderful.

...Now I'm wondering if she'd send us back if Yui died.

Glad that worked out. Now I know I don't need to give Hiroshi credit for saving Yui at this point in the loops.

Wednesday, July 20

: Oh...well...

: You shou... should not disregard artwork.

: Oh?

: Alright. I'll try to stop and study more.

Raising Art isn't too hard, but I'm not too confident about Goon being able to master everything at this point. 4, 3, 3, 3 is way too low to pull that off. We'd need more raw vital stats to do something like that.

Friday, July 22

: ...

The only change here. We could listen to Aya complain about school while Yui gets defensive but...

I wish I had a skip function. I'm just manually clicking through real fast.

Wednesday, July 27

This looks new but I checked back and we already got to ask this so...

We just hung out with Alice. Nothing too special. We'll probably ditch her in this event when we do Hiroshi's route.

Not much going on. We're just getting our stats up a bit in the break.

Saturday, August 13

We've seen Obon. Skipping ahead to the changes.

: Hey, Alice!

: Oh... hi, Goon.

: Hi there.

: Are any of the stores open right now? I got sent out to buy some more fireworks. We ran out and my host family wanted more for the little nieces and nephews and cousins.

: Ah... I'm out trying to pick up matches or a lighter. We ran out of that.

: If I tell you about Obon, right?

weer to smart to be tricked like that

: Wow, how did you know?

: A hunch, I suppose. Alright, I'll tell you about it.

: I'm all ears.

Whoa, we don't have to hear Goon's explanation again. It's almost like a skip, but not quite.

After that, the rest of the day goes like last time.

No changes to the third day of Obon. At least it's quick.

Our Lit is still acceptable. Let's see if we can avoid that F for a bit longer than last time. A touch ambitious, but we might pull this much off.

Progress is decent but I might need to do some Fashion work before we meet the minions again.

The swim season ends and with that, our Swim action is gone. Pity but we've made decent progress on Sports.

...I guess this was coming. I have been kind of nice to Aya since I did lump her under Science.

Game: The phone rings in the middle of the night. Groggily, you pick it up.

: What? Who is this?

: It's Aya, you dummy!

: What time is it...?

Ugh, I've had these sort of calls but that's when people forget to check the time zone differences...

: What?! Why are you calling me now?!

: Geez, calm down!

: And you didn't catch it!

: Man, you're pretty sharp at 3 in the morning! I'm impressed.

:negative:

: So where are you now?

: We took a late train back, and now I'm at the station. When I called my mom to come pick me up, she was furious!

: Gee, I wonder why...

: I don't think she's ever been so annoyed with me. I bet she was really breathing fire.

: I can imagine.

: A taxi?

: Heh, nope. Spent all my money shopping so I can't afford one...

: So that means...

: You!

: Me?! What are you talking about! I don't have a car or-

: Walk you home?

: Yes, walk me home. What part of that didn't you understand?

: Can't you just walk home yourself, then?

: Me? An attractive young damsel walking the cold streets so late at night?! I could get seriously hurt!

: You'll be fine.

: Lorde, how could you be so cold?! Think of my poor mother and siblings... what would become of them if something happened to me?! And it'd be all your fault!

: Alright, alright...

: Seriously?! Score! I owe you big time, Lorde! I'll be waiting on the edge of the shopping district, okay? Meet you there!

: Hey...

: Man, you look beat!

: I wonder why...

: I feel so energetic! What an amazing concert!

: Great...

: Man, what's your problem? You need to learn how to relax sometime...

Grr...

: Thanks, Lorde!

: No problem...

: No, really! You saved my life- my mom would have definitely killed me if she had to come out and get me this late at night.

I wonder why...

At least we got Aya's phone number out of it. We can organise a date at some point and grab an extra point of XP.

That was the last point we needed for Attentive. So we grab it.

School starting again, yada yada.

It's going to be nice seeing the minions again. Be a good change of pace from Aya.

Starting to get good at being a student! You've only had to re-start your life, what, three times?
I do wonder if you actually get looped if Yui dies... although, maybe she can't and if you fail to find a way to save her, Goone will just rush in and try to save her anyway and get killed...

Because I somehow think this game wouldn't let Goone spend the rest of his school years, traumatized by the sight of Yui being run over by a bus :ohdear:

What would you say is a good par line for our base stats? Like to clear the endings?

I'm really enjoying post-ending Lorde Goon. He seems to have some balls at long last.

Good to be back at school. Something might actually happen now.

Monday, September 5

What's Hiroshi up to over there...?

That's our Hiroshi.

: She does not! And she's not my girlfriend!

: Heehee, it's okay, I do smell like cantaloupe today. I had some for lunch earlier, remember?

: That's not the point! The point is-

: Hey, Lorde, come here for a sec!

Oh, this is Kazuki and Suzu's first day of school.

: What is it?

: Just look at those two, will ya?

Making fun of juniors is an important of high school life.

: Yes, they do.

: Hiroshi, stop being such a pain!

: Well, we do work well together!

: He doesn't mean that kind of couple, Suzu!

: It's our first day of high school!

: Interesting.

: Really?

Kazuki just can't win, eh?

: Cucumber-hair! That has a nice ring to it...

: Suzu, he's making fun of you!

: You guys transferred in the middle of the year?

: Yeah, they're a grade below you, but they're such geniuses that our school let them transfer in early.

: She's just my good friend, okay? Stop saying that sort of stuff, Hiroshi!

: Nice to meet you both.

: Kazuki, you know I can introduce you to all sorts of cool people here. Just say the word.

: The only reason you would do that is to get on my sister's good side. So just forget it.

Nice to finally see Hiroshi finally lose some ground.

: Because I know you, Hiroshi. So just drop it already.

: *sigh* It's your loss, man.

: ...

: I don't need any help, thanks. And stop calling her my girlfriend!

: I don't understand, Kazuki. I'm your friend, and I'm a girl...

: Don't cry, Suzu! We're still friends! You're just not my girlfriend.

: Oh... I guess I don't get the difference. Isn't that what a girlfriend is?

: Girlfriends are closer than regular friends.

: Oh! Okay, I see.

: Yeah, that's it.

: Ooh! Aren't you happy, Kazuki? Plenty of guys would give ANYTHING to be in your position.

Let's give Kazuki a break.

: Yeah, just leave them alone, Hiroshi.

: You should see some of the weird things these guys make, Lorde.

: Weird things?

: They work down at Ikegawa Motors shop after school. But they seems to spend more making useless stuff than actually fixing bikes.

That ain't my mistake, that's in the script.

: Hey! The things we make aren't useless!

: Hehe, Kazuki to the rescue!

: I said cut it out!

: Okay, okay... I may like to tease them, but I'll admit that they make some pretty cool things sometimes...

: Did you hear that, Kazuki?

Hiroshi really loves getting their hopes up, doesn't he?

: It's not CRAP. You're just JEALOUS!

: I don't see what's so weird with making things like that.

: Thank you, Lorde.

: Yeah, thanks!

: Heh, you're weird just like them, aren't you, Lorde?

: All I'm saying is-

: Actually, you should go down and check the place out sometime, Lorde. Sometimes the old man who runs the shop lets Kazuki help out on this hot rod he's building.

: Wow, really?

: Yeah, it's pretty cool. Normally I fix motorcycles there, but cars are so much cooler.

: We should build our own car someday, Kazuki!

: Heh, let's stick to go-karts for now.

: Yeah, you guys should make me a go-kart. I'd ride that thing around all the time... Hey Kazuki, does your sister like go-karts?

: First of all, I'm not building you anything. Second of all, I'm not building you something for the purposes of picking up my sister.

: Hehe, Naoko's afraid of the things you make, Kazuki.

: No, she's afraid of the things YOU make.

: Oh, that's true...

: Hmm, maybe I'll swing by the bike shop sometime.

We'll never get an option to just go and visit the bike store, but a fair few events happen there.

: Sure, I think it's pretty interesting.

: Oh, great. You're welcome to the shop any time, then.

: Yeah! You have to stop by again one of these days!

: Thanks, I will.

: And you'll have to show us around the school sometime. I know this isn't your first time here.

I like that intro. Hiroshi gets to be a jerk of a senior while Kazuki gets to show off his damage control skills.

Tuesday September 6

: I see what I see, Aya! I'm sorry if you don't like it.

: More like you see what you want to see!

: Don't mock me, Aya!

: What are you going to do, sic some tanuki on me or something?

: Man, I should really carry a recorder around because the stuff that comes out of your mouth sometimes is just no from this planet.

: Well at least-

: Hey, hey, what's the problem here?

: Four extra PURPLE toes.

: Can you believe that she passes this junk off as a fortune? A fortune that she actually BELIEVES?

: I told you, I see whatever comes to me!

: Says who?

: Oh, I don't know... SCIENCE maybe?!

: You believe me, don't you, Lorde?

Rena and Aya together is just a recipe to see Aya being a jackass. I couldn't abandon Rena to that.

: I don't know, Aya. Rena's never usually that far off.

: Ugh, don't tell me...

: Anything could happen, Aya.

Zombie Mozart.

: Fine, I guess I have to prove it to both of you.

Game: Aya takes off her shoes.

: There's only a few minutes left in the period, and I still have all ten, NORMAL toes. No extras, no purple anything.

Game: Naoko trips and spills a container of food everywhere. Four blueberries land right next to Aya's toes.

: Eww, gross!

: Oh!!

: What?

: Look! Four purple toes!

: What part of blueberries are toes?!

: Hey, it really did come true!

: Of course it came true!

: They kind of look like them, Aya.

: No, they kind of look like blueberries!

: I'm sure Rena's vision was just a little fuzzy.

: Geez, you're all nuts!

: Heehee, I guess some people just don't see things like us, right Goon?

: Heh, that's for certain...

I'm kind of wishing I'd kept up that heh counter. Be a real pain to do, but it's so common from Goon.

Quick thought - If Aya hadn't set out to disprove Rena, she wouldn't have taken off her shoes. If she hadn't taken off her shoes, the blueberries wouldn't have been next to her toes but next to her shoes instead. So it looks like we have a self-fulfilling prophecy here.

I wonder if siding with Aya makes it so the vision never comes true.

Ah well, too much thought for nothing. But hey, a point of XP.

Monday, September 12

Oh, this.

: Well, I guess I'll worry about it when the time comes.

: "When the time comes"?

: This is what I said.

Uh... I guess that's the rear end in a top hat option. I thought it was a skip!

: Lorde, the time is NOW.

: We've been breaking our backs all summer over this and we offer to help shuffle you into it so you won't get in trouble, and you respond like THIS?

: We might as well have not even bothered with your worthless butt.

: It'll be quite unpleasant if you don't, you get what I'm saying?

: I will see if I can come.

: You better!

What is even the point of that option then? Annoying Alice is only good for Hiroshi's route but you annoy Hiroshi as well?

Bleh, knowing there are definite bad options is not nice. I just never picked them enough before to remember them.

We see Yui at the park but this event hasn't changed.

We get to work on the Culture Festival as well. :allears:

Wednesday, October 5

Oh.

: A little... what?

: Oh, I don't know, I'm not the best dresser myself, but...

We're back down to 4 Fashion. I tried doing a little Fashion but if we're doing a Science route as we are now, we'll never be fashionable. We can get by with bad Fashion, I'll just wait until a later loop to be a dapper fellow.

:negative:

: Uh... I didn't notice that...

: Yeah, I know how it is. I don't care much about clothes myself, but it's not THAT hard to keep from looking like a complete slob. I- I just think you should pay a little attention to your fashion, that's all.

He was nice about it, it's not too bad. At least we're wearing a shirt and not a trash can with holes.

Monday, October 10

: Hello, Naoko...is something wrong?

: Well... I lost my strawberry lip gloss.

: Oh... you want me to buy you a new one?

: Oh no! No, I don't, dear, but... that's out of the question entirely, anyway.

: Huh?

: Oh, I see.

: Oh my, it's my favorite, too! Argh! Anything else just isn't the same, I'm afraid.

: Well, I'll help you look for it.

: Will you really? Okay, let me dump out my bag.

: Wow you have a lot of stuff in here.

: You can fit it all if you organise it, teehee.

: Let's see...

: I'm sorry, I don't see it.

: Oh... oh well. Thank you for helping, dear. Here, let me gather everything up...

Maybe I should check the shopping district anyway.

Game: You go through the shopping district, checking every clothing store and boutique, but you do not find it. Exhausted, you sit down to take a break.

Hmm...

Where to begin...?

: Darn...

: Well, see, Naoko has this strawberry lip gloss from France and she lost it. I wanted to replace it for her, but I could not find it.

: ...You did all that? For my sister? Wow. You're not that bad.

"Not that bad"...?

: Of course! She's very sweet.

: Well... there's this store I heard my sister mention. It's new, and they sell a lot of imported makeup and stuff. Suzu's not that interested so I've never been there.

: Oh, really...?

: It's at the end of the street. You should give them a try.

: I will, thanks!

Game: You go there and begin to look.

...Darn... nothing.

Wednesday, October 12

: Oh, hello.

: Kazuki told me how hard you worked looking for a replacement for my gloss.

: Oh... it was nothing. I couldn't find it anyway...

Hmm, not too bad. There are three endings to this event and I had thought it was linked to the luck perk. We may need to do this event again to get the 2nd outcome. I think we'd need a maxed Luck perk to get the perfect outcome, but that's a while away.

Monday, October 31

Maybe I should see what he's up to.

Once again, the only reason to turn this down is because you don't want to see the event. It's like Yui in the park.

Game: You join him by the window, looking at the items inside.

: Hey, Kazuki.

: Oh, hi there, Goon.

: What's up?

: I'll give it a shot.

: Okay... just... what do girls like to get for presents? You know, special girls.

Well, the girls I know...

goon you messed this up

: ...Oh.

i can just feel his respect for us dropping even further

: And candy and stuff.

Not sure what causes a good outcome there. Could be Fashion, could be Popularity, maybe even Art. Or it could be linked to the amount of routes we've done.

It definitely has a better outcome though. Seen it before.

Alice gives us her phone number. Good to see we've patched things up with her.

The culture festival is also a success.

And with that, we've got tests coming up soon.

This leaves me curious what real difference being the most fabulous man in school has, aside from less people stopping to fashion police you.

Yep, you can't fail a run on Fashion alone. But I do get sick of people coming up to us to go "wow, you look like a mess". You also can't fail on popularity alone. For your first few loops, Fashion + Popularity as dump stats is fairly sensible since you do need to pass the other subjects.

Got a bit of time before our next test.

I'm glad our Lit is keeping up so far. I think we're a bit ahead of a C here.

Alice calls us to tell us we're friends. Neat, but we're not doing her route again.

Thursday, November 10

We've seen this event before.

: Oh, it's very interesting.

Some mild changes going on since this is our second time seeing this event.

: How interesting! Why?

: It's to honor Saint Lucy, a martyr.

: That's so cool.

Satsuko is certainly more competent than that girl from Konosuba.

That's the only change. Otherwise, we'll have two more days eaten by the rest of this...

Monday, November 14

We've seen this before. Naoko broke a jar that was given to her mother by a friend in India.

I'm only showing this off since I took the other option this time.

: Are you absolutely sure it can't be replaced?

: Yes, I'm quite sure! It was hand-made by her friend, I think.

Looks like we're meant to pick the other option. Oh, well.

Tuesday, November 15

Maybe I should go talk to her.

: ...

: Hey, Kasumi... something wrong?

: ...No, nothing... I have to go...

...Alright, then...

Wasn't sure if we'd seen that, but there's nothing we can do there.

Yui invites us out to the park and we hang out. Seen it. I'm surprised how easy this event is to get. Just watch as we get around to doing Yui's route and this is nowhere to be seen.

The weird cleaning party is coming up, but we knew that from Alice's and Satsuko's chat triggering.

The only reason we'd have to suck up to Hiroshi is if we wanted to do an Aya run. But I can't help myself when I get an opportunity like this to burn him.

Progress on your stats is going well. We might do decently in these exams.

Cleaning party's on now. We've seen the start, so let's skip ahead a bit.

Rena's in the Garden, I don't actually know who's at the other places though.

We head to the Hallway.

: Hey Alice...

: Hey, you shouldn't be here!

: What? Why not?

: Why?

: All of the student council members are going to judge the different areas of the school for cleanliness. So any room they help clean up are disqualified from the competition.

: Oh, I see...

Getting along with Naoko helps with Kazuki so...

To the classroom!

: Coming to clean the classroom with us, dear?

: Heh, sure.

: Oh dear, what are you talking about?

: Huh?

: It's going to take us an hour just to dust this place!

: Really?!

: Yes, I prefer to keep my own room clean. They are my things and I feel responsible for their order.

: Oh my, that's really great of you. I think everyone should be responsible for their own cleaning.

: Absolutely. Otherwise, you just get lazy and it snowballs from there.

can confirm, I've got dusty papers on my desk

: Yeah, I really like it when everything's tidy and organised.

: Me too!

: It's nice to have a lot of space to move around in rather than being cluttered.

: Yes, and there is just an inherant responsiblity in keeping your things in order...

: Yes, I think it helps keep one's mind clearer, and the lack of clutter definitely helps with productivity...

: I agree, it's just better in general.

: Alright then, let's do a good job on this room, okay?

I'm still not sure what's linked to success on this event. Maybe we just need to see some cleaning related events.

Well, that ain't great.

: It does not look like we did much at all...

: Cleaning a whole classroom in two hours was a bit of a tall task, though...

: Yeah, it was a lot of work...

Actually, this could be related to diligence. Weird that we're not getting a mediocre outcome since we have the first perk but it could just be a weird event.

: Hey, Alice.

: I've come to inspect your room.

: I would never be!

: I know, I'm just joking.

: Besides, student council members are not allowed to help clean any rooms. If they are caught helping, then that room will be disqualified from the competition.

: Huh?

: Hmm... I should go investigate to make sure he's not up to some of his tricks...

: How does our room look, Alice?

: Oh, hehe, I almost forgot. Hmm... well, it's pretty good... It looks like some things aren't put away as neatly as they could be, and I still see a fair amount of dust around...

: Alright...

: Later, guys!

: Oh dear. I guess that means we're not going to win...

: Well, we do not know how the other rooms did yet...

: I guess that's true...

We'll succeed at this event someday. We might just need a few more loops to grab what we need, whatever it is.

No more changes until we skip to the winner.

Who?

: That's too bad...

: Ah well...

: Yeah, I don't feel that bad about missing out on that.

: Aww, I would've enjoyed that...

: Eh, I would have given them to Aya.

: Oh well, good work anyway, dears. There's always next year, I suppose.

I went back to check something and Kiku/Naoko actually wins this if you picked Rena without winning.

Friday, December 2

: Grr...

: Sorry...

: Er... is everything okay?

: Well...

: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that.

: Um...

: It is not your fault... Please do not tell anyone, but Aya's family has no insurance... Her family does not have the money to cover Aya's wisdom tooth extraction right now without the insurance... I offered to help her pay for it, but she would not let me. She said it would be an insult to her family, which is understandable, I suppose. I just feel so bad that I cannot help her.

: Ah, I see...

: I hate to see her in this much pain, though...

: I guess she's just in a bad situation...

Hmm, we'll probably see that one again.

Sunday, December 4

: Argh! Goon!

: I know you've been busy studying, but trashing your room is unacceptable!

: What mess? It's not trashed!

Game: Satsuko points to the floor. Some of your clothes and a few books are scattered about it.

: You keep making little messes like this!

: It's just my jacket...

...Why are you cleaning our room?

: I'm sorry, Satsuko.

: I guess it's okay... but you'll never learn to be self-sufficient that way.

I still have many questions, but...

Tests go on, nothing too distressing.

Sunday, December 11

Oh?

Good time to get this.

: Greetings and salutations! Lorde, meet me at the school pool. I have a surprise!

Bit weird to use the default greetings and farewell for this event.

: What's up?

: Check out what I have!

: Did you make those?

: Of course, silly! They're training flippers, I just came up with them! I got the idea from runners!

: How so?

: Runners and other athletes tend to wear weights on their legs while running or walking, in order to build up strength. These flippers are something else, though! They weigh down your feet slightly, but more importantly they pedal automatically, and you can adjust the speed yourself.

: Won't the extra weight just make you sink?

: Have you tried them yet?

: Nope! Congratulations, you are the first to witness its testing! Here I go! Here I go!

: Okay...

Game: Suzu steps aside for a moment, and into the changing room. She comes out again in a swimming suit. Suzu slips on the enormous flippers. She gets into the pool and prepares to turn them on.

: Don't peel your eyes away for even a a second! Here I go!

: Lorde!! Lorde, I can't stop swimming!!

: I'm coming!

Game: You jump into the pool and begin chasing Suzu. You hear footsteps as someone approaches the pool room.

: Kazuki, jump in and let's try to corner her!

Game: Kazuki jumps into the pool and within a few seconds, you both are able to corner Suzu and shut off her flippers. After you and Suzu catch your breath, she goes off and changes back into her uniform.

: Are you alright?

: So dizzy...

: Don't yell at me!

: All in a day's work.

: Yeah, thanks Goon. Who know what could have happened if we didn't stop those things. Come on, Suzu. I'm taking you to the infirmary.

They dropped a ? there, huh.

: Aww, I don't wanna go!

:3:

Monday, December 12

: It seems like a lot of work.

: Hey, what's up?

: It's getting awfully icky and the manager asked us to clean it over break. It seems like so much work, though! We'll never get it done!

: Calm down, Suzu! Don't worry, w-we can do it...I think.

: Do you want me to help?

: R...really? You'd help?

: Ooh, we'd love that! It'll even be fun! We'll probably find all sorts of hidden treasure, too!

: Remember, the point is to clean, though.

: No problem. I'm sure the three of us can do it.

: We only have from the start of break until the end of it to get it clean.

: And it's a huge mess! It's going to take a lot of effort.

: Let's see what we can do, okay?

: We'll see you then.

That's going to eat up a bit of time. Good thing we have a bit of leeway with studies.

Ah, good.

Not bad at all.
