Beerus is absolutely a villain, it is just that our cast is largely made up of fairly amoral people so as long as he isn't actively engaged in evil and instead is there to have cool fites with then Goku and Vegeta are okay with him and nobody else can really do poo poo. Just like Hit is a horrifying mass murderer who will kill anyone for money but Goku's okay with him because holy poo poo that fight!!

Cats are definitely evil and so is Beerus, but you can contain them and even have a nice relationship with the bastards. DBZ and DBS are actually stories about how everyone can be rehabilitated and reintegrated into society with good enough support and care.

You say DBZ and DBS, but I remind you that this series started with a baby literally programmed to commit genocide on a planetary scale, who then proceeded to befriend a bandit, an assassin (and his sidekick), and a being literally made of evil (or is that just his dad?) who proclaimed himself to be the devil. Dragon Ball has always been about how people can be redeemed. Even the most evil. Except for Freeza, not a lot you can do there when even his universal counterparts are still evil.

it took 2 deaths for vegeta to be goku's friend. piccolo had to kill him first, even freeza's a bigger rear end in a top hat than them tho so it may take a few more before he comes around

Honestly Dragon Ball as a series is better for half the characters being kinda morally ambiguous. I would say Gohan and Trunks are the only really heroic characters because they actively go out of their way to help people.

Krillin has probably the best family relationship of everyone in DB and he's a kid raised by monks and a pervert who married a killer android and named his daughter after one of his exes. Satan is a good dad and a good grandpa too, tbf.

Happy FatherTier Lists: S Tier: Krillin, who is happily married with a child and nobody is dead. Gohan who is happily married with a child and nobody is dead. Dr. Briefs who is happily married with two children AND a grandchild and nobody is dead. A Tier: Mr. Satan who has a happy child relationship and a grandchild but dead wife. Piccolo who adopts children but lives alone in a crappy wasteland when he isn't babysitting. B Tier: King Cold who made his son a cyborg but never mentions his other son. King Piccolo who was kind of a dick but had a large family. C Tier: Vegeta who goes to amusement parks with his son but has somehow forgotten to conceive his daughter.
